edrawmind is mind mapping maker application
They have a deb available from their website.

The download link above doesn't work. it doesn't have a github page. I suggest we close this.

google chrome and edge also does not have. what is the difference?

Chrome and Edge have a repository instead of github page. Repositories are even easier to add because they integrate with package manager of OS.

In this case it's a download link from website. When something changes in the website, the link might change and installation breaks. This link is from 2022 and it's now broken. Also it's harder to check the version.

ok and how about other proprietary software like 1password, dropbox and zoom?
