Apes on Tapes is an italian electronic music trio consisting of Joe Antani, Shapka and Dyami Young. They formed the group in Bologna in 2005 and released their debut album You Open in 2008, followed by the album Foreplays in 2011.
The band released their new ep, Pitagora's Bitch, through Burnow Rec in July 2014 in Italy to critical acclaim. Their music is an exploration from glitch pop to bass music with doses of bright electronica, abstract and hip hop. Laptop, controllers, scratches, sequencer and MCing, a perfect bridge between Hip Hop and electronic sound.
