Francesco Fortunato, pianist, composer and conductor, graduated in Piano in 2018 with full marks
and honors from the Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali “P.I. Tchaikovsky” in Nocera Terinese
(CZ) under the guidance of Maestro Valentina Currenti, and in 2019 he graduated brilliantly in
Orchestral Conducting at the same institute under the guidance of Maestro Filippo Arlia. To date he
attends Composition course, under the guidance of maestro Alessio Rossato.
He attended several advanced courses, including the Campus Afam, the International Piano Campus
Varallo (VC) and the Naxos Winter Camp. His artistic training has been enriched by courses and
master classes with professors such as Filippo Arlia (piano), Leonardo Suarez Paz (chamber music),
Anatoly Levin (conductor), Andrea Talmelli (composition) and others.
Winner of national and international music competitions, he recently won the third prize at the
“Egidio Carella” International Composition Competition (Val Tidone International Music
Competition 2018) and the first Prize at the “Alessandro Longo” International Piano Competition,
Giardini Naxos (ME).
He has held piano recitals, concerts as conductor, composer of songs performed by renowned
musicians and soundtracks for films and short films, climbing on the stage of numerous theaters and
concert halls, from the Ateneo of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Calabria to the Teatro Sociale di
Stradella.
His artistic activity also includes the production of six albums with original works for piano and
orchestra (for the musical editions GRecords and Milleville Music) and the publishing of various
works for solo instrument and chamber ensembles (for the editions Momenti and Agenda).
Since 2019 he has been teaching piano and composition at the A.N. Skrjabin Academy in Vibo
Valentia (Italy).
