Mein Freund, der Dino

The movie started out pretty decent for what it is. The first 30- 40 minutes made sense and told the story. Then after the protagonist and his girlfriend left the dinosaur in the tunnel everything got confusing. It's as if several major scenes were flat out cut (as if the viewer hit the skip button a couple times). I had a hard time from that point on. That same phenomenon occurred a couple more times before the movie ended. I wonder if this was originally a two or three part series that was shortened or something. I think there was some respectable potential here and some effort was put into it. But it was so badly edited in the final 3rd portion of the story that it became confusing.
