Blockbuster movie. Best of Rajkumar santoshi as well ghatak ghayal damini.must watch movie for lovers of Rajkumar santoshi as well Anil Kapoor fan's. Fantastic music of A R raheman and also very good storyline. Beautiful location and best script . Good good good very nice movie.

Such a nice movie these kind of movies are love. Anil performed his best and perfect for the role.madhuri's acting was very good and the songs are really good.this film shows the perfect example of a true soldier.these type of films should be made more and more.

Earlier Rajkumar Santoshi was to make the film with Sunny Deol and Meenakshi Seshadri as " Ajay" in 1991. When Meenakshi and Santoshi had a fallout, the film was shelved. The script was put on hold because Santoshi decided to make Ghatak instead. In 1998 Boney Kapoor offered a good financial deal to Santoshi and he opted to make the film "Ajay" with Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit. The title Pukar was chosen for the project . This angered Sunny Deol as the idea behind the script had come from him. He felt betrayed by Santoshi. Sunny decided to make another film titled "Ajay" with Suneel Darshan instead.

Versions alternatives
The UK release was cut, one cut required to neck break in accordance with Board policy, in order to obtain a 15 classification. An uncut classification was not available.
