Telugu-language action film “Og,” starring Pawan Kalyan, has unveiled a global theatrical release date. The film is produced by D.V.V. Danayya for Dvv Entertainment, whose previous film, S.S. Rajamouli blockbuster “Rrr,” won an Oscar and a Golden Globe. The film, a gangster epic, has been shot across Mumbai and Hyderabad. It features Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist and the cast also includes Prakash Raj, Priyanka Mojan, Arjun Das and Sriya Reddy. Sujeeth is the director. Music is by Thaman S.

Kalyan is a member of the Konidela film family. Megastar Chiranjeevi is his brother and “Rrr” star Ram Charan his nephew. Also a politician, Kalyan is the founder of the Jana Sena Party. Among his films, his recent hits include “Bro” (2023), “Bheemla Nayak” (2022) and “Vakeel Saab” (2021).

“Og” is due to release worldwide theatrically on Sept. 27 in the Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.

Isabel Torres, the Spanish transgender actress who played LGBT icon Cristina Ortiz “La Veneno” Rodríguez in the 2020 HBO Max miniseries “Veneno,” died Friday after battling lung cancer.

“Today, February 11, 2022, we say goodbye to Isabel,” her family wrote in Spanish on her Instagram account. “Although her family and friends deeply feel her loss, we know that wherever she goes she will have fun as only she knows how. Thank you for all the messages of affection and concern. She has left feeling very loved and embraced.”

The actress, whose Spanish films include “Fotos,” and “Camino a la locura,” played the oldest version of “La Veneno'”in the HBO series, with younger versions played by Daniela Santiago and Marcos Sotkovszki.

“I think in it there was a lot of me, and in her there was a lot of all of us,” Torres told The Advocate in January 2021 of portraying the trailblazing transgender star.

Germany’s Osthaus Museum in Hagen is presenting a retrospective of American actor and filmmaker Sylvester Stallone’s decades-long oeuvre of paintings on the occasion of his 75th birthday. Stretching back more than half a century, the showcase features more than 50 paintings, including self-portraits and several works which will be shared publicly for the first time.

“That’s what I love about painting, it’s the only true communication you can have,” said Stallone in a release announcing the retrospective. “While writing can be manipulated, painting is the fastest and purest translator of the subconscious. When something is going on inside you and you hit the canvas, it’s hard to fake it. The artist on the canvas is number one for me when it comes to conveying his feelings.”

The Stallone retrospective opens on Dec. 4 and will be available through Feb. 20, 2022.

Five fans of popular Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan, died in a road accident while returning home after celebrating his birthday in Telangana's Warangal district in the early hours of Wednesday.

The car, in which they were travelling, collided head on with a sand laden truck at Pasaragonda Crossroad in Damera mandal, police said.

This was the second tragedy to hit Pawan Kalyan's fans celebrating his birthday, in less than six hours.

Three youth were electrocuted to death and three others were injured when they came in contact with a live wire while erecting a banner in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district on Tuesday night.

The victims were identified as Rajender (31), Somasekhar (29) and Arunachalam (20).

Pawan Kalyan, who is also the president of Jana Sena party, announced financial support of Rs 2 lakh to the family of the deceased in Chittoor incident.

He expressed his condolences and stated that it was his responsibility to support the family.
