Sailor Moon is the quintessential magical girl anime created by Naoko Takeuchi and published in Kodansha's shojo manga magazine. The series was immediately popular upon its 1992 release, and it still attracts new fans today who enjoy the original anime and manga alongside the current reboot Sailor Moon Crystal. Sailor Moon Crystal is a manga-loyal adaptation that has fewer filler episodes and more streamlined character arcs but the same central characters and plots.
The story of Sailor Moon follows the sweet and precocious protagonist Usagi Tsukino, who transforms into the intergalactic superhero Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon battles cosmic villains and eldritch horrors with the help of her fellow Sailor Senshi and Tuxedo Mask. With a sprawling cast of characters spread out across the franchise, it can get hard to keep track of everyone who is introduced. From the first season to Sailor Stars, here is every important character from the original Sailor Moon anime.

It's extreme crisis mode on the set of Canada's beloved police drama, "Flashpoint." On location at the Toronto International Marina, a frazzled man named Harold ("CSI: NY"'s A.J. Buckley) is standing on a ferry, screaming frantically. Turns out this shotgun-wielding guy has separated from his wife, is schizophrenic and off his meds. Worst of all, Harold has abducted a baby girl he mistakenly believes is his. In other words, Harold is a walking time bomb waiting to explode.
Also on the scene are Constables Ed Lane (Hugh Dillon), Sam Braddock (David Paetkau) and Julianna "Jules" Callaghan (Amy Jo Johnson) from the Strategic Response Unit (Sru), who are doing their best to diffuse the situation. Obviously, things aren't going well. Harold's confusion is turning to anger and rage as he yells, "Liar! Liar! I would never hurt her!" Before somebody actually does get hurt, Jules slowly inches toward the oblivious...

At this point, the undying love yours truly has for the Canadian cop drama Flashpoint is more than known. The dynamics of its three-dimensional characters, the quality of its episode to episode stories as well as its season/series long arcs, the high standard of acting employed by both its regular and episode specific cast, all these things make for one of the best television experiences anyone can have. This week’s episode was especially important as it’s Flashpoint‘s first go around in the U.S. since leaving the airwaves of CBS for Ion. The episode did not dissapoint. Written by series creators Mark Ellis & Stephanie Morgenstern and directed by pilot director David Frazee (arguably the best of all the directors the series has had to date), “Grounded” follows the story of a group of hijackers who take control and forcibly ground an aircraft in an attempt to free a prison inmate via hostage negotation...

Hugh Dillon knows, thanks to his "Flashpoint" character, just how bad a day someone can have.
In the Canadian-made, Friday-night CBS police drama's most recent episode, hostage-negotiation-team veteran Ed Lane was trying to get to a hospital for his child's birth while occupied with an on-the-job psychiatric evaluation -- which, he was dismayed to learn, had been ordered by his friend and superior Greg Parker (Enrico Colantoni).
Making matters much worse, Lane got stuck in heavy traffic en route to the hospital, then became the victim of a road-rage shooting. "Flashpoint" fans will learn the outcome of that cliffhanger soon: After two weeks of repeats, new episodes resume Friday, July 8 ... and there's a big hint in the fact that Dillon is still filming episodes for the current fourth season in Toronto.
"My initial reaction was, 'Holy f***!'," Dillon tells Zap2it about his "Flashpoint" alter ego getting shot, "but it made sense.

Whether you watch it or not (or have even heard of it), Flashpoint is one of the best dramas (cop or otherwise) on television right now. Action, drama, a hint of comedy, great writing, it’s got it all, and it shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. Now having been picked up for two more seasons, one of which that has already completed production, it looks like a bright future is ahead for the program. I had the chance to sit down with the shows creators Mark Ellis and Stephanie Morgenstern to discuss what’s in store for the future. … [visit site to read more]...

CTV, a Canadian TV network, still hasn't officially announced the renewal of Flashpoint for a third season. However, according to the Ontario Media Development Corporation (Omdc), the third season of this procedural drama created by Mark Ellis and Stephanie Morgenstern has been in production since January 13, 2010.
Indeed, after a visit on the Omdc's web site, The Cultural Post found a document that lists all the films and TV series that are "filming in Ontario [...] as of April 9, 2010". Besides, to top it all, the Omdc indicates two things about the show. First of all, Flashpoint's production crew can be contacted through this e-mail adress (flashpointproductions@gmail.com). Secondly, the TV show's production team is considered as being "Fully Crewed - No Calls Please".
Finally, Flashpoint's production will wrap up on May 28. Moreover, CTV has yet to announce the premiere date of this Canadian show. As for the American premiere on the TV network CBS,...

Attention to those who live in Canada and the USA. The second season of Flashpoint is coming soon on DVD. However, since this Canadian cop drama is distributed by a specific distributor in each country, expect the release in both countries to be different.
Synopsis:
This TV series created by Stephanie Morgenstern and Mark Ellis follows a team of the Strategic Response Unit (Sru), a tactical unit based on Toronto's Emergency Task Force (Etf). This team is led by Sgt. Gregory Parker (Enrico Colantoni), a negociator. He's accompanied by Ed Lane (Hugh Dillon), a sniper; Jules Callaghan (Amy Jo Johnson), the only woman in the team; Sam Braddock (David Paetkau), a former soldier of the Joint Task Force 2; Mike 'Spike' Scarlatti, a technology expert; Kevin Wordsworth (Michael Cram) and Lewis Young (Mark Taylor). In each episode, the Sru try to finish their intervention as peacefully as possible through negociations with suspects.
