Over the course of six seasons, the show follows the lives of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis). It primarily focuses on their sex and love lives, as narrated by Carrie's sex column, but it also highlights the strong friendship between the four women at its center.

Cynthia Nixon revealed to “Sex and the City” co-star Kristin Davis on Monday that when she joined the HBO comedy as Miranda, she thought another famous “Kristin” had been cast as Charlotte: “I didn’t know who you were,” she said.

The actress, best known for her role as Charlotte York, shared her thoughts during an episode of her podcast, Are You a Charlotte?. She discussed how much things have evolved since Sex and the City originally aired from 1998 to 2004 and how standards around revealing clothing and on-screen nudity were vastly different at the time.

While speaking with clinical psychologist Dr. Hillary Goldsher, Davis pointed out how common it is today for celebrities to wear sheer dresses on the red carpet, often exposing their bodies.

“Look at how people present themselves now. It’s totally normal to have almost everyone on a red carpet in a sheer dress where, potentially, their nipples are showing,” Davis said.

Broadway legend Patti LuPone is joining Season 3 of “And Just Like That,” though executive producer Michael Patrick King would not reveal what role she’ll be playing.

And just like that... a fourteen-year-old movie is returning to Max. If you're planning a warm-up to get in the mood for the new season of And Just Like That..., you'll be glad to know that Max is making it easier this January. The streamer announced that Sex and the City 2 will be back on the platform, so you'll be able to revisit the last time that Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Samantha (Kim Cattrall) were all together. The 2010 movie will be back on the platform on January 1.

We can always count on HBO and Max to deliver some of the biggest and best shows on TV. Although there's no new season of House of the Dragon coming in 2025, there are new seasons of The White Lotus, The Last of Us, The Gilded Age, and Hacks on the way in the new year.

Unfortunately, there are a few HBO and Max shows that will probably get canceled in 2025. Those are the shows we're talking about now.

On the bright side, there aren't that many popular HBO and Max shows that will be on the chopping block in 2025. Many of the established shows, like The White Lotus, should have blanket renewals. As long as the creators have a story to tell, they should be easily renewed.
