Why Was Noah Hathaway Cast, Dropped & Re-Cast As Atreyu In The NeverEnding Story? (Photo Credit – Youtube)
Before The NeverEnding Story whisked us away to Fantasia, its lead star, Noah Hathaway, lived a plot twist worthy of the big screen. He was cast, dropped, and then re-cast again as Atreyu. His journey to land the iconic role wasn’t just long; it was wild.
When Hathaway stepped into auditions for the 1984 fantasy epic, he already had some serious credits. He starred in Battlestar Galactica (1978-1979) and appeared in Best Friends (1982) alongside Burt Reynolds and Goldie Hawn. So when German director Wolfgang Petersen came aboard The NeverEnding Story, Hathaway had experience, but not yet the part.
He first auditioned under a different director. And not just once. “They did one of those worldwide searches to cast the role and they saw something like 50,000 kids,” Hathaway said during a 2019 Entertainment Weekly reunion interview.

Amazon is going all-in on Sony Pictures Television's adaptation of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. The new series, based on the Crane-Iron Series by novelist Wang Dulu (which was famously turned into an Ang Lee film back in 2000), will be created and produced by Lucifer and Mrs. Davis writer Jason Ning as well as the prolific and acclaimed executive producer of Outlander and Battlestar Galactica fame, Ronald D. Moore.
The series has been in the works since 2023, with Moore hopping aboard Ning's vision sometime last year, according to Deadline's exclusive reporting. Both Moore and Ning have overall deals with Sony Pictures Television, and worked together on the epic science fiction series The Expanse back in 2016. Since then, Moore has gone on to create series like For All Mankind, and Ning wrote several episodes of Mrs. Davis and was a co-executive producer on The Brothers Sun. Tigers get crouching, dragons get hiding, and fans of martial arts epics get hyped — a new Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon series is a-comin'! Yes, 25 years after Ang Lee introduced audiences in the English-speaking world to the wonders of wuxia with his gravity defying, four-time Oscar winning take on Wang Dulu's Crane-Iron books, Deadline are today reporting that Amazon are getting ready to bring the eastern action saga to the small screen. And what's more, Lucifer and The Brothers Sun producer Jason Ning is teaming up with legendary TV creator Ronald D. Moore to make it happen.
As Deadline's reporting notes, a new adaptation of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon — which tells the sort of Sense & Sensibility (& Swords) tale of star-crossed warriors Shu Lien and Li Mu Bai (Michelle Yeoh and Chow-Yun Fat in Lee's telling) — has been in the offing for a couple of years now. Conventional wisdom dictates that there's no way to improve on perfection, but since when has that ever stopped streaming companies when there's money to be made? In today's latest instance of truly nothing being sacred anymore, Deadline has revealed the news that Prime Video is moving forward with a series adaptation of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," the story made most famous by director Ang Lee's soaring, sumptuous, and sweepingly romantic wuxia classic. The 2000 film was based on the Chinese novel of the same name by author Wang Dulu, which was actually the fourth installment of a larger saga called the "Crane-Iron Series." This new streaming show will apparently take its cues from that original source material, as opposed to simply remaking the film.

Prime Video is looking to bring the world of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon to TV screens.
The Amazon-owned streamer and Sony Pictures Television are developing a series adaptation of the story, based on the Crane-Iron Pentalogy series of novels by Wang Dulu. The books also served as source material for Ang Lee’s Oscar-winning 2000 film.
Jason Ning (Lucifer, The Brother Sun) is writing and will executive produce alongside Ron Moore (Outlander, Battlestar Galactica). Both have overall deals at Sony, which released Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon through its Sony Pictures Classics label and owns rights to the Crane-Iron books.
The logline for the potential series reads, “Amidst stunning landscapes and spectacular action, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon follows Shu Lien and Mu Bai, two star-crossed warriors, as they struggle between forbidden love and the pull of modernity — caught between preserving their way of life or embracing a future together.”

Do you like action at 37,000 feet? We do, too. That's why we're thrilled to tell you a bit more about Fight or Flight, one of the summer's most intriguing prospects, which stars a resurgent Josh Hartnett as an exiled American agent given an unenviable task aboard a Transpacific flight between Bangkok and San Francisco. As part of Collider’s Exclusive Preview event, we’re unveiling an exclusive new image highlighting the carnage and chaos aboard one very bumpy ride. The film is directed by James Madigan and written by Brooks McLaren & DJ Cotrona.
We are suckers for an action movie set within a mode of transport. Yes, that sounds like a very niche category, but think about the legacy of movies like that — Air Force One, Unstoppable, Non-Stop, Bullet Train, and Snakes on a Plane — the list is endless. There’s something seriously frustrating happening right now with Netflix and the anime community. And no, it’s not bad subtitles or those cringe-worthy dubs (though they’re always an issue). This is so much deeper. We’re seeing Netflix totally nail the art of how Not to market an anime. That anime? It’s called Moonrise.
Unless you’re really into tracking down anime news or watching Wit Studio’s YouTube channel like a hawk, you likely had no idea. It’s a little crazy, ’cause this isn’t some throwaway project. This is a massive sci-fi space opera from Wit Studio, the same geniuses who brought us Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga, and more recently helped spark that One Piece remake hype.

The final season of Outlander just got a colossal update from one of its leading stars. Outlander follows Claire Beauchamp Randall (Caitríona Balfe), a WWII nurse who goes back in time to Scotland in 1743. She meets the dashing Highland warrior Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and falls for him while also landing in the middle of an epic rebellion. Starz confirmed more than two years ago that Outlander would end with Season 8, and the final season even wrapped filming back in September 2024, but it’s still lacking an official premiere date. Caitríona Balfe recently sat down for a chat with Collider’s Steve Weintraub to talk about her upcoming action movie, The Amateur, and she teased an emotional season finale:
“Wrapping Outlander was very emotional. Everybody came to set, which was just very weird because they gave Sam [Heughan] and I a seven-page scene that was just full of dialogue to finish on,...

The upcoming film The Life of Chuck (which Neon will be giving a theatrical release on June 6) is the latest Stephen King adaptation from Mike Flanagan, who has previously been at the helm of the Stephen King adaptations Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep (and is also developing a series adaptation of The Dark Tower for Amazon Studios) – but it is not a horror movie. Neon has released a new poster of The Life of Chuck, which evokes a mysterious, but beautiful journey into an introspection of life.
Based on the short story from King’s 2020 anthology If It Bleeds, The Life of Chuck consists of three separate stories linked to tell the biography of Charles Krantz in reverse, beginning with his death from a brain tumor and ending with his childhood in a supposedly haunted house.
Tom Hiddleston (Loki) is playing Chuck, with Mark Hamill (Star Wars) playing a character named Albie.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if someone decided to make a Vietnam War movie that had dinosaurs in it? If you have, today is your lucky day. This is a very real movie that is coming out this year that is based on a very real book. Check it out for yourself above and marvel at what's coming.
There's a lot to discuss here. There are lots of dinosaur movies that aren't "Jurassic Park." Everything from "The Land Before Time" to "The VelociPastor." But in the realm of blockbuster entertainment, the "Jurassic" franchise has had a stranglehold on the genre for decades. While "Primitive War" is probably closer to a mockbuster, it does look pretty darn good,...

The first trailer for Primitive War is here, and it’s a wild mix of military action and dinosaur horror. The movie stars Ryan Kwanten (True Blood) and Jeremy Piven (Entourage) as U.S. soldiers in the Vietnam War who discover something terrifying in the jungle—dinosaurs.
Directed by Australian filmmaker Luke Sparke, Primitive War is based on Ethan Pettus’ book series. The story follows an elite military team called Vulture Squad, sent into a remote jungle in 1968 to find a missing platoon of Green Berets. But instead of just enemy soldiers, they face prehistoric monsters.
“Three days ago, I lost my Green Berets. There was something going on in that battle,” Piven’s character says in the tense trailer. As the squad fights to survive, they realize they must become as savage as the creatures hunting them.
Sparke, who also co-wrote and produced the film, was excited by the crazy concept.

They call it “high concept.” In the upcoming Primitive War, soldiers in Vietnam do battle with prehistoric dinosaurs, and the teaser trailer for the action/horror/sci-fi movie has arrived.
Debuted by THR this morning, watch the teaser trailer for Primitive War below! “This ain’t no walk in the park,” the trailer promises, taking a shot at Jurassic Park in the process.
On that note, it’s awesome to see filmmakers outside the Jurassic franchise playing with dinosaurs, as that’s something we haven’t seen enough of over the years. The high concept approach to the material here reminds us a bit of the 2023 movie 65, which saw Adam Driver going up against dinosaurs. And it looks like Primitive War has enough of a budget behind it to make the dinosaur action look pretty damn good, which gives us hope for this one.
Expect Primitive War to stomp...

An action thriller now set for release in the U.S. next month could quickly become a modern classic if its soaring score on Rotten Tomatoes is anything to go by. Starring Oppenheimer and Black Hawk Down star Josh Hartnett as a bleach-blonde assassin, Fight or Flight finds the actor, who is currently in the middle of a triumphant return to screens, doing his best John Wick as he is forced to fight for survival while 37,000 feet in the air.
To be clear, he’s aboard a plane. But it just so happens that this particular plane is brimming with rival assassins. Fight or Flight now boasts a perfect score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, and is set for release in the United States on May 9, 2025. Critics lucky enough to have already boarded the action outing have raved about the fight sequences on display and Hartnett’s endearingly cynical lead performance.

The reimagined "Battlestar Galactica" is one of the greatest and most ambitious science-fiction television shows ever aired. When "Galactica" begins, humanity is living on 12 colony planets named in tribute to the signs of the Zodiac: Caprica, Tauron, etc. About 50 years ago, mankind created robotic servants called the Cylons, who rebelled and waged war until an armistice.
When the series begins, the Cylons (who have upgraded into human-like forms) return and wipe out the 12 colonies. The 50,000 or so survivors flee in a spaceship fleet, guarded by a "Battlestar" warship, Galactica. Led by William Adama (Edward James Olmos) and President Laura Roslin (Mary McDonnell), the survivors search for the fabled 13th colony: Earth.
Co-creators Ronald D. Moore and David Eick rebooted the short-lived 1978 original "Galactica" by taking out the cheese in favor of drama and political resonance. Moore, who broke into TV writing on "Star Trek: The Next Generation," got to air...

It might be late March for the rest of the world, but for the folks at Hallmark, it’s always the Countdown to Christmas. Today, the network announced yet another holiday-centered production is underway, this time piggybacking off the success of one of their titles from the 2024 season. Those who love a little spandex and sport with their holiday fare will be thrilled to hear that Hallmark Media has re-signed NFL and Skydance Sports to their roster, with the trio set to bring audiences, Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story. The production comes hot on the heels of last year’s Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, which saw the network score some major viewership points. Right now, A Bills Love Story is on target to pick up cameras later this year, with the production crew using the team’s city, Buffalo, New York, as a backdrop, promising to include...

Star Trek: Voyager may be one of the black sheep of the franchise, much like Deep Space Nine. However, some episodes prove why the series has a cult following. The season 6 episode ‘Blink of an Eye’ is the series’s highest-rated episode and explores the concept of time dilation in the context of an alien planet where time runs faster.
Time dilation as a concept has been explored many times since, but the most famous one seems to be in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. The sci-fi epic sees the Endurance crew visit Miller’s Planet, where an hour amounts to seven years in Earth time. While the ‘Mountains’ sequence is legendary, Voyager still did time dilation better.

The Star Trek franchise does best when it takes scientific concepts and explores a philosophical or human angle on them.

Like other shows in the franchise, Star Trek: Voyager had a soft spot for certain characters and assigned the bulk of the storylines to these select few. While the show boasted of a stellar cast, the series still had Kate Mulgrew’s Captain Janeway and Jeri Ryan’s Seven of Nine at the center in most episodes.
Jeri Ryan proved to be an asset for the show, driving many viewers, but the attention given to Seven of Nine led to the series sidelining one of the best Vulcans. Tim Russ brought the character of Commander Tuvok to life in the best way possible and the character’s story was also interesting. Alas, he did not get the necessary screentime.

When you think of 1960s sci-fi shows, what titles come to mind? The earliest, campiest iteration of "Star Trek" is a no-brainer, as is anthology standard-bearer "The Twilight Zone." You might recall "Lost in Space," the original run of "Doctor Who," or even "The Jetsons," but the chances are "The Invaders" won't be on the tip of most peoples' tongues.
The short-lived ABC series about an alien invasion was unlike any other show of its time, but it remains more a cult classic than a part of the zeitgeist to this day. "The Invaders" ran for two seasons, with future "Perfect Strangers," "The Stuff," and "Maniac Cop" writer Larry Cohen as its mastermind and prolific early TV producer Quinn Martin executive producing. Unlike the flying saucer stories that would populate the decades to come, "The Invaders" was more a paranoid bureaucratic thriller than a little green men-filled horror story. Roy Thinnes,...

Some cliche somewhere said that ‘a picture is worth a thousand words.’ This has proven to be the case for me and especially when it comes to fan art. I have always sought out great fan art and have wanted to share it with as many people as possible. “Awesome Art We’ve Found Around The Net” is the outlet for that passion. In this column, I will showcase the kick-ass artwork of some great artists, with the hopes that these artists get the attention they deserve. That’s the aim. Ronald D. Moore is one of the most legendary writers in sci-fi due to his contributions to Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica. The writer reportedly ventured into the franchise by just going on a tour of the Tng set and submitting a script to Gene Roddenberry’s assistant. Since then, he has been promoted to story editor, writer, and producer.
Moore contributed his storytelling skills to many incredible episodes of Tng and also went on to work on Deep Space Nine. However, he only served a few weeks on Voyager before leaving the franchise due to creative differences. Still, the story pitches he made at the time reportedly formed the basis of his work on Battlestar Galactica.

Can you imagine a world where Steve Carell wasn’t our beloved “World’s Best Boss” but instead rocked the mustard-colored shirt and an aggressive beet farm agenda? Yep, the actor recently spilled the beans that if he hadn’t played the painfully cringy yet lovable Michael Scott, he would have loved to play Dwight Schrute.

Now, don’t get me wrong, Steve Carell is a comedic genius, but somehow, Rainn Wilson was just born to play Dwight. So, had The Morning Show star landed the role of Dwight, The Office as we know it, might have crumbled faster than a Dundie trophy in Pam’s hands. Sorry, Carell, but I’m glad fate said, “No! God, please no!” and kept you as Michael Scott!

Rumors continue to heat up for the first Star Wars film released in theaters in over five years. The Mandalorian and Grogu movie is set to premiere in the summer of 2026. One rumor and question are whether Katee Sackoff will reprise her role of Bo-Katan Kryze in the film.
The actress has portrayed the character in both live action and voiced her on various series for the franchise. She has been a hit with the fanbase and starred alongside Pedro Pascal in Season 3 of The Mandalorian series.
The actress thus far has not given much out in terms of whether or not she will appear in the upcoming movie. When asked at an Indiana Comic Panel about a possible return, Collider shared Sackoff's response.
"I have not been in the armor in 2025," said the actress. Though, it was reported that she had a big grin on her face when she made the statement.

Two years after its initial announcement, fans have finally received a promising update on the live-action God of War adaptation from Sony TV and Amazon MGM Studios.
On a recent episode of The Sackhoff Show with The Mandalorian actress Katee Sackhoff, God of War series showrunner Ron Moore confirmed that the project has been picked up for two seasons. "Right now, I'm working on an adaptation of a video game called God of War," he explained. "It's a big title in the gaming world that Amazon has ordered two seasons of. They've asked me to come in, and I'm literally in the writers' room working on that."
According to Moore, the God of War adaptation will be a completely new frontier for him. "I'm not a gamer, so it's even more like, 'Okay, I've never done this before,'" he said. The showrunner's experience on hit series like Battlestar Galactica...

Prime Video is working on a God Of War TV adaptation and showrunner Ronald D. Moore has just revealed there’ll be two seasons to look forward to.
Video game adaptations are all the rage at the moment, and with HBO’s The Last Of Us having proven to be a huge hit, other streaming services are keen on recreating that level of success.
Perhaps the biggest one of these is Amazon’s God Of War, which has been in the works for quite a while now. Things didn’t look too great last October when the show reportedly scrapped its creative team for a complete overhaul of the series.

God of War showrunner Ronald D. Moore shares a new update on the upcoming Prime Video adaptation. First announced in 2022, the adaptation of the hit PlayStation video game franchise was originally being spearheaded by Mark Fergus, Hawk Ostby, and Rafe Judkins. The God of War TV show was reported to follow the game's protagonist, Kratos, as he embarks on a dangerous journey with his estranged son following the death of his wife. The series hit a snag last October, however, when Fergus, Otsby, and Judkins all left the project, with Amazon looking to take things in a new direction.
During a recent interview with Katee Sackhoff on The Sackhoff Show podcast, Moore, who joined the show within a week of the previous team's departure, reveals that Amazon has already ordered two seasons of the God of War series. The showrunner says that he's currently hard at work in the writers' room for the series,...

General Hospital spoilers reveal that James Patrick Stuart recently made an appearance as Valentin Cassadine.
Unfortunately, rumors have been swirling ever since that Stuart may soon be leaving again. This makes fans worry that Valentin is about to exit the soap once again since he is currently on the run again.
Is Valentin About To Exit Again Perhaps Permanently?
James was in Galactica 1980 as Dr Zee which was the start of his acting career. Stuart moved to soaps in 1989, where he played Will Cortland until 1992. Stuart then joined General Hospital in 2016 as Valentin.
Of course, Valentin lied about his identity and called himself Theo at the time. Valentin was just another Cassadine who wanted to wreak havoc on Port Charles.
Valentin’s parentage has changed a few times since his arrival in Port Charles. He was originally thought to be the son of Victor Cassadine (Theo Penghlis).

Buffy the Vampire Slayeris truly a television show that's shaped the landscape of....well, TV. In addition to a mix of horror, humor, and heart that won over a long-lasting fanbase, Buffy the Vampire Slayer writers have gone on to shape other genre hits, including Battlestar Galactica, Daredevil, and Lost. But none of that would be possible without its cast, as Buffy the Vampire Slayer boasts arguably one of the best ensemble casts in television history. It turns out that one of those characters could have been very different, especially considering Alyson Hannigan wasn't the first choice for Buffy's best friend, Willow Rosenberg.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of Hollywood’s most successful actors, at least in terms of earnings. His movies grossed over $10.5 billion worldwide. But despite this financial success, Dwayne Johnson’s movies have a tendency to prioritize spectacle over substance. And that’s exactly why he shouldn’t be a part of the God of War live-action adaptation.
Dwayne Johnson’s movies make money, but they aren’t very deep. | Image Credit: New Line
From failed video game adaptations to critically panned blockbuster performances, The Rock’s acting career has largely relied on his charisma rather than his true range. God of War, as we all know, is more than just good looks. So, with a story as emotionally rich as Kratos’, Johnson’s signature larger-than-life persona isn’t the best fit.

Star Wars: Underworld | Producer Rick McCallum on the “dark, sexy, violent” TV series that never was
Long before its purchase by Disney, Lucasfilm was working on a TV series, Star Wars: Underworld. Producer Rick McCallum has talked about why it never happened.
Revenge Of The Sith, the last Star Wars episode directed by George Lucas himself, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. And while that 2005 film marked the end of the prequel trilogy, Lucas still had plans to expand the Star Wars universe on television.
Announced around the time of Revenge Of The Sith’s release, the TV series Star Wars: Underworld was billed as a darker, edgier take on his space fantasy saga; Lucas once described it as being “based on film noir movies of the 1940s.”
Other people who worked on the show compared its tone to sweary western series Deadwood or gangster epic, The Godfather.

Giancarlo Esposito is known universally as a bad guy - not that the actor himself is a bad person, though he’s got quite the acting repertoire of "bad guy" roles; Gus Fring in Breaking Bad, Stan Edgar in The Boys, Major Tom Neville in the too-short-lived Revolution and, recently, he played Sidewinder in Captain America: Brave New World.
For plenty of roles, he’s unlikely to come back, mostly due to character deaths. For one role in particular, Moff Gideon in the Star Wars spinoff The Mandalorian, Esposito feels he should return to finish his character's journey, which Esposito feels isn’t quite over. Speaking to Empire, Esposito re-affirmed that his character could have survived what many would presume to be a certain death.

“There’s always a little bit of truth in legends,” Ahsoka once said on “Star Wars: Rebels.”
That line was a little Easter Egg to fans to assuage them about how the pre-Disney takeover “Star Wars” stories — told in decades-worth of novels, comics, and video games — might still live on in the official canon. It also applies a bit to the show “Star Wars: Underworld,” George Lucas’s ambitious, but ultimately scrapped live-action TV series he was developing in the years after “Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith” hit theaters in 2005.

If the recent rash of older-woman-younger-man romances have had one thing in common, it’s the emphasis on the first half of that equation. Films like The Idea of You or Babygirl may not have totally ignored the male point of view, but it was purposefully deprioritized against the fantasy of female sexual awakening — the rush of discovery, the anxiety of aging, the sheer fun of hooking up with a pretty young thing.
Against that framing, the SXSW debut Fantasy Life plays, accidentally, like the flip side to that equation, with its focus on his perspective and its less starry-eyed, more downbeat tone. But if the movie does not offer the same kind of pleasure, it serves as an interesting variation on the theme, as well as a worthy discovery in its own right. With Amanda Peet in a remarkable star turn, it marks a promising debut for writer-director Matthew Shear.

These days, the idea of a Star Wars TV series is old news. In lieu of any big-screen outings for the franchise since the widely panned "Rise of Skywalker" in 2019, the last five-plus years of Star Wars have consisted entirely of streaming shows on Disney+, books, comics, and video games. But back before George Lucas sold Lucasfilm and its associated properties to Disney, Star Wars was a film series before all else, and the idea of bringing its universe to television in live-action seemed far-fetched. Even still, it nearly happened under Lucas, and we now know just how far those grand plans went.
The series' working title was "Star Wars: Underworld," and it would have looked at all kinds of less-traveled corners of the galaxy, following smugglers, bounty hunters, the general criminal element, and other stories less central to the saga of the Skywalkers and the Jedi. And according to...

The upcoming film The Life of Chuck (which Neon will be giving a theatrical release on June 6th) is the latest Stephen King adaptation from Mike Flanagan, who has previously been at the helm of the Stephen King adaptations Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep (and is also developing a series adaptation of The Dark Tower for Amazon Studios) – but it is not a horror movie. JoBlo’s own Chris Bumbray got to see the movie a while back (you can read his 7/10 review Here) and described it as a “bittersweet tearjerker.” We’re still waiting to see a trailer for this one, but today a teaser poster has been unveiled and can be seen at the bottom of this article.
Based on the short story from King’s 2020 anthology If It Bleeds, The Life of Chuck consists of three separate stories linked to tell the biography of Charles Krantz in reverse,...

The Time Guardian – starring Carrie Fisher and Dean Stockwell and directed by the co-writer of Mad Max 2 – has emerged on Prime Video UK.
Star Wars royalty Carrie Fisher. Blue Velvet and future Quantum Leap co-star Dean Stockwell. Filmmaker and Mad Max 2 co-writer Brian Hannant making one of the most expensive Australian films up to that point.
With a pedigree like that, you might think that The Time Guardian would be better known than it is. Instead, it largely sank without trace on its brief cinema release in 1987, and became one of those films that was doomed to lurk on the lower shelves of VHS rental libraries.
Unexpectedly, though, The Time Guardian has emerged on Prime Video in the UK, which means subscribers have the rare opportunity to watch one of the weirdest – and less often-discussed – sci-fi movies of the 1980s.
On paper, it’s a typical B-movie of its era.

Battlestar Galactica is one of the few science fiction series that proves reboots can improve upon their original source material and that television was ready to support a sci-fi franchise that wasn't Star Wars or Star Trek. From its pitch-perfect pilot to nearly every episode that followed, Ronald D. Moore and his creative team brought a grounded approach to their story — well as grounded as "being chased around space by killer robots" as you could get. But the series finale "Daybreak" alienated some fanswith its resolution to the Galactica's journey to Earth and the startling revelation that Cylons were the forefathers of humanity. Yes, apparently, we're all descended from killer robots. Even Moore has expressed a few regrets on how "Daybreak" wrapped up the series. "To me, I wanted [Battlestar Galactica] to have a definitive ending...a part of me wishes I hadn't done that," he said at last year's San Diego Comic-Con,...

For a show about outer space, SyFy's "Resident Alien" sure grounds itself with some beautiful scenery. The sci-fi comedic drama stars "Firefly" alum Alan Tudyk as Harry, an alien that crash-landed on earth with a mission to kill its people. Instead, Harry became a medical examiner, became besties (and maybe then some) with local human Asta (Sara Tomko), and faced off against some freaky, powerful aliens called the Greys.
All of this happens against the backdrop of Patience, Colorado, a fictional small town with scenic views and nearby wilderness areas. In real life, though, the team behind "Resident Alien" found their version of Patience in a different small town – and a different country. Before the quirky show returns for its fourth season, which will air on USA Network, it's worth brushing up on all the stunning filming locations that help make "Resident Alien" unique.
