Josh Hartnett! It's so great to see him in such a cool movie. He's one of the best actors and really deserves more roles like this! Fight or Flight delivers on every level. It shares a lot with the fantastic Bullet Train, but this one feels like a grittier, edgier version.
The martial arts scenes are solid and believable, the dark humor lands well, and the main character is all about doing things in the most perfect way possible. It's definitely over-the-top, but in the best possible way.
What I really love is the independent look of the film. It's not polished and shiny like a typical big Hollywood production - it feels much more real.
To keep it short: Fight or Flight has that great late '90s/early 2000s movie vibe, with Josh Hartnett delivering a full-on, in-your-face performance. This guy needs more roles like this! Just watch it and you'll see what I mean.
I really believe this movie proves that you don't need a multimillion-dollar budget every time. Keep the story grounded, pick the right actor, and you can make something amazing like this!
