With three awards (Best Film Screenplay, written by Eduard Sola, Best Actress for Emma Vilarasau, and Best Comedy), Dani de la Orden's A House on Fire leads the fairly well-balanced list of winners at the Feroz awards, which were presented last Saturday in Pontevedra, Galicia. , a tense film about imperfect motherhood by Catalan filmmaker Mar Coll, was chosen by the members of the Spanish Association of Cinematographic Informers  (AICE) as Best Drama Film (as well as Best Poster for Octavio Terol and Lluís Tudela), while Pedro Almodóvar received his award for Best Director for The Room Next Door [+lire aussi :

, the wonderful series by brothers Jorge and Alberto Sánchez-Cabezudo.

The AICE is a group of 220 journalists and critics dedicated to reporting on film across television, radio, the press and online in Spain. They have been handing out these awards since 2014 to recognise the year’s best Spanish audiovisual productions. In addition to the annual awards, the association presents the Feroz Zinemaldia Award at the San Sebastián Film Festival, the Feroz Puerta Oscura Award at the Málaga Film Festival, and the Feroz Cinema Jove Award for the best short film at the festival of the same name.
