The 4:30 Movie 4K UHD (2024) - Blu-ray Forum

Kevin Smith's The 4:30 Movie will be getting a 4K release from Lionsgate later this year. An Amazon Exclusive Steelbook listing was just added. Extras include a commentary track with Smith, trailer, and making-of featurette. As of nw, this Steelbook release is the only way to get the film on 4K.

I'll check it out. I love more of Kevin Smith's filmography than I dislike, and this one seems interesting. Plus, I know someone who's in the movie.

The movie is kinda cute and I love the premise of it but it was unfortunately not very funny. Might pick it up when it's cheaper anyway

From the press release, it looks like the only way to get the UHD is the Amazon Steelbook.

Kinda messed up. I'm just going for the standard Blu-ray.

Lionsgate did the same thing with Clerks III, and you can't even get that anymore, since it was a BB exclusive.

Right so decided to place a pre-order until I know what is happening with this release, £40 though to import that is a heck of an expensive disc.

I still don't understand this whole let's spend money making a 4k disc but then sell it in limited quantities and make it difficult for folks that want to buy it. If it is an Amazon exclusive maybe it will appear in other countries.

I'm so sick of this releasing the 4K as an exclusive steelbook only B.S. I know Kevin/Lionsgate did it with Clerks III but it seems like a trend that more studios are now slowly starting to do.

STOP!!!

Not all who collect physical media and want their movies in the best format possible love steelbooks. This is why I'm just gonna wait until the Blu ray gets really cheap and get it that way. I'm so sick of steelbooks!!

Hoping this is as good as Clerks 3. I’ve done something I haven’t done since the Superman 4K Steelbook set and preordered this from Amazon since it’s an exclusive.

I enjoyed "The 4:30 Movie". Definitely not top tier Kevin Smith in my opinion but solid and charming. I liked "Clerks III" up until it went completely off the rails during the 3rd act.

Any official word from Lionsgate on why Dolby Vision/HDR aren't included? Dolby Vision is printed on the slip and on the disc yet it plays in SDR as mentioned in the site review. Their releases have been pretty terrible lately.

It shows as available to watch in 4K in my iTunes account.

Mine shows “Now arriving Friday November 8th.” I would call and request the Prime credit due to this although it is always a fight for them to do it.
