It arose from the intersection of my ethical concerns as an MD, my experience as an #oncologist in #rural U.S, my observations that the use of #ai (w/initial altruistic goals)in parallel w/the corporatization of #medicine & the rise of #insurance giants pointed us into a perfect storm of patient #data used for #profits. The #book was pub Mar ‘23. The most inaccurate part is I set it 10 yr in the future
