Spent a couple of hours in Basel today. Hand a great time hanging out with some of the WCEU organizers and walking around the city. Remnants of carnival were still very visible everywhere.

The equestrian fair is happening at Messe Essen this weekend, so there are lots of horses to be seen. (We stopped there often over the last few years, usually on our way home from kindergarten.
One more heron post with a couple of images from yeterday. I was a bit late so I didn't catch the same light as the days before. But shooting from the bridge allowed for some other angles.

Went back to the same spot as yesterday to photograph the herons. What can I say: I am really happy I did that this morning. Being by myself, watching those birds. Talk about relaxing.

Yesterday we visited Parkleuchten at Gruga park with Daniel and his family. It was very cold and late (obviously), so half of my family had cut the visit short and head home early. Lumi and I went on to see all of the installations.

I'm looking to move away from Pixelfed, which is currently where I post photos and then have them auto posted to Mastodon via EchoFeed and an RSS feed.
I'd like something simple, easily customizable without having to code. Just something I can post a photo a day so to speak and have others be able to view it, comment or whatever.
I don't need a store for the photos, as I have no intention of selling photos since I'm not some great photographer.

The 27 is back! (Finally!) The auto focus motor was broken. Fujifilm service wasn't able to tell me how that could have happened, but they fixed it. Out of warrenty this cost me EUR 100, ~10 for the motor, 75 for the labor + tax.
Family trip to the to the swimming pool this morning, to practice. For Lumi it's just a question of courage at this point. She actually knows how to swim, but still wants me to hold her – although I am pretending most of the time.
Quick trip to the city center today to get some swimming gear. Lumi will have swimming as part of phys ed at school starting in a couple of weeks. She's not really thrilled about it…
