There two ways.

1) An old laptop with BIOS only needs MBR disk partition and no UEFI. You need to change that, means reinstall.

2) When I moved my old disk from an BIOS device to UEFI device I had the issue, disabled EFI in BIOS and had MBR instead of GTP (not GTP😃).
For getting EFI after 1 year in legacy mode I made a clean convert. You need to check if its supported or mode by the mainboard.

That are the keywords for search.

To hard reset your laptop remove the battery for 10 min, then put itback and boot into BIOS.
There change to legacy or UEFI mode and all your settings.

When we were in Iceland back in 2019, we saw a sign pointing to this church, Krýsuvíkurkirkja, but there was no church. We didn't think much of it, but during the first couple of years of the pandemic, I kept seeing photos of this church in social media, which baffled me. How could've we missed it? I mean, it's not a big church, but it's not microscopic either.

When we were back in Iceland in 2022, we had to see it for ourselves that the church did exist. Lo and behold, there it was! I had to do some deep digging on the Intarweb to solve this mystery. Turns out the church was burned down to the ground in 2010 and was only rebuilt in 2020.

Mystery solved!

Das Bild zeigt eine städtische Straßenszene in den frühen Abendstunden. Im Vordergrund ist eine Pfütze auf der Straße zu sehen, die die umliegenden Gebäude und Lichter reflektiert. Es gibt eine gelbe Linie, die entlang der Straße verläuft. Auf der linken Seite des Bildes sind mehrere geparkte Autos zu sehen. Die Linie und der Asphalt erscheinen scharf, während die Spiegelung unscharf ist. Die Gebäude im Hintergrund sind mehrstöckig und haben eine klassische Architektur mit Geschäften im Erdgeschoss, die beleuchtet sind.
