There's no contradiction in MAGA "Christian" evangelicals worshiping Trump. He replicates exactly their Old Testament God: as Tennessee Williams put it, a senile delinquent, a decrepit bully who whines and blusters over the burnt offerings, who makes a bet with Satan that His servant Job won't curse Him if He lets Satan destroy Job's family and home.

Btw, Nietzsche got it wrong; God is not dead, but undead. I think maybe Nietzsche would have clued in if he'd been able to watch Romero flicks instead of listening to Wagner.
