High efficiency heat pumps are a modern marvel!! It's 9f outside. and it's 77f inside! But wait, there's more.

They're sipping electricity. Both my heat pumps are operating in standard compressor mode (no emergency mode needed yet). The central unit has been running for 2 continuous hours so far, drawing only ~2kW with a periodic short 10kW defrost spike. The mini-split is blowing my mind (yellow line) in efficiency - it's a 30 SEER and draws about 1kW when it ramps up every so often.
