I woke once for the loo, and then when my alarm woke me. I'm not used to my alarm waking me, so it took me a few seconds to realize that the sound I heard was, indeed, my alarm. Haha! I got up, went to the scale, got dressed, took my meds, cared for Arwen... When she was happily eating, I got my bag and I headed to the gym.

I had some chats from some sweet friends, so I first answered them. Then I headed to the seated bike and I rode for half an hour. My leg wasn't too pleased with that. So I headed to the massage chair and then I got ready to head home again.

I was halfway home when I could not cross the railway crossing. They were doing some construction work there, which had not been announced... A man came to me, asked if I wanted to pass... Had to be careful not to say that I wanted to see the big machines at work during the night! 😂 So yeah, I told him that it had been my intention to drive home. He told me it could take to half an hour before I would be able to pass! I could walk home for there in that time. Well, I'd be getting closer to it, at least. To I had to turn around and go all the way back to Oss, and then make way to the highway. If only they would have announced it... I could have gone straight to the highway from the gym... Ugh... So... Extra time, extra km, extra benzine... But after all that, I finally got home...

I washed up, changed clothes, and had brekky. Then, Arwen and I got ready for the SniffiVerse™ walkies. The weather was a bit cold, with -1°C, but there wasn't much wind, and the moon was full 🌕 and beautiful! We had a good walk, as Arwen wanted the "medium" one today. I worked on my blog a bit while Arwen was getting in all the sniffs.

When we got back, I changed my clothes and I got upstairs to the hometrainer. Rode it for half an hour. Then I relaxed a bit with some telly. Arwen wanted a short walk, so we headed out again. Back home, where I watched some more telly. Another walkies at the usual time, where we could see the moon slowly getting smaller. There would be a blood moon, but it would not be visible from the Netherlands, as it was happening too late...

I made some food and then got ready to walk to the supermarket. Got some food for the next day. Walked back again. Swept the floors for the gazillionth time (So. Much. Sand!), and then Arwen wanted walkies. She was very fortunate as she saw the neighbor out as well. Nomnoms! We had a good walk, or a food walk, for Arwen. 😂 Then we got back, and I got ready to game with a very sweet friend.

We started another play through of "The Devil in Me", where we hoped to keep them all alive. And we were trying to get some other trophies along the way as well. I between gaming, I fixed food for Arwen and me, and I quickly let her out for a wee (she was not impressed by that!). We played till it was almost time to get ready for the afternoon walkies.

We had a good walk, but without the sun, and with the wind, it was a bit chilly. Arwen didn't seem to care and she went splashing anyway. 😂 Yay for another dripping wet dog...

I watched a bit of telly and got everything ready for bedtime. I let Arwen out for the last wee, and then we headed to the land of snooze.

I woke twice during the night got the loo. I almost got up the second time, but I fell asleep again until my alarm woke me. Ready to start a new day, the weekend even!

Vacancy. The flora that had made residence in my body were evicted, forcibly, and against their (and my) will. I feel vacant now—not empty exactly, thought I'm not sure I can describe why one feels correct and the other does not. Perhaps one suggests occupancy and that the lack thereof is temporary, whereas the other is a more permanent condition. Maybe it's because emptiness is, I think, not really possible, an ideal state imbued with pseudo-religious meaning. Empty yourself. Something I've tried and tried to do for more years than I want to admit. Depending on the flavor of your belief and practice the emptying was either to make room for some-thing else or the end in itself. Emptiness is sterile though. I wish to be teeming with life not devoid of it. This illness has forcibly removed those organisms that made my body their home, who influenced my thought and my feelings.

Caring for my brother has always been extremely embodied, physical, somatic. When I was first caring for him in a professional capacity I described it to others like I had to be a self for him, that is, I—my body—had to be a body for both of us: I had to do things for him or with him that he couldn't do on his own. At that point in my life I often characterized those efforts as an emptying of myself so that I could allow him and his needs to be funneled into my body. I no longer think this is the best way to describe the relationship but it is still an important component of it, it captures some aspect of it that remains, even if imperfectly.

In The Disabled God, Nancy Eisland describes how some persons with physical disabilities experience their assistive devices not as extensions of their bodies, but as their bodies—a wheelchair literally becomes a part of the body. This is precisely how it felt (and feels) to care for my brother: my body is a part of his body; the boundary between his physical self and mine is, if extant at all, so porous that it doesn't make any sense to describe us separately at times. His body is mine, my body is his—our soma are intertwined, deeply related not just by blood, but by muscle and sinew and bone. These experiences caring for him were the beginning of my exploration into the possibility that our selves extend outward beyond the physical boundary of our bodies, into our environment, and even that our minds and emotions also transgress our physical containers.

This is challenging work and if I’ve ever achieved that state of emptiness it was only temporary. The physical demands of caring for another like my brother interrupt the loftier goals of experiencing at once a dissolution of and expansion of the self. The days I struggle to care for him the most are the days when I feel the most vacant, lacking both connection and relation. I desire a fullness in those moments, not emptiness. I fear being alone in those moments, I suppose; I fear that the isolation of caregiving will be the end of me, that I will remain severed from all relationships and meaning.

Intellectually I know this isn’t true. But existentially it terrifies me. I am reminded of what some child psychologists say, that the connection the child feels to their family and caregivers is life to them; separation from them is sometimes literally death, if not feeling like death. So many of our psychic wounds stem from this experience of loss and our attempts to cope with that. I feel like a child in this way, like my disconnection from the people in my life, even for just a moment, will be the death of me.

I have always turned to my relationships with others, romantic especially, as a way to avoid the shadow of my own psyche and soul and being. Seeking refuge in another in a very anxious and needy way has been my pattern. There is, I imagine, a strength that comes from entering that shadow alone and being remade by it, transformed through it. I have always wanted this but feared it, turning back before the transformation was complete. Of course the transformation isn’t just once, it is endless, but there is an initiation into that life that I have avoided.

Thoreau talks about being lost—to ourselves and to the world—and only in that state do we come to realize the full extent of our relations

“and not till we are completely lost, or turned round,—for a man needs only to be turned round once with his eyes shut in this world to be lost,—do we appreciate the vastness and strangeness of Nature. Every man has to learn the points of compass again as often as he awakes, whether from sleep or any abstraction. Not till we are lost, in other words not till we have lost the world, do we begin to find ourselves, and realize where we are and the infinite extent of our relations.”

Entering the psychic world of shadow is a way of losing ourselves. We are lost to the world and to ourselves; we lose our place, we become disoriented, familiar paths and routes become unfamiliar—that which was familiar, family to us, becomes strange, unfamiliar, un-family. We are strangers to ourselves, the world is strange to us. The Other presents itself and makes itself known.

Encountering Otherness—both the otherness within myself and without—creates the context in which I can wake up, not just to myself but to the world. Like Thoreau says, after one wakes up there is a process of relearning one’s place in the world, learning how to navigate, how to locate oneself. But this isn’t a solo, individual process; it is not work one does alone: it is work that must begin in the individual but it concerns nothing less that the whole network of relations that make up one’s world.

I want to feel the boundary between subjective and objective, between interior and exterior, dissolve. I want to feel—to know—that I am part and parcel of nature, that my body extends beyond the limits of my physical body, that my mind seeps into the ether and condenses and expands with the warming and cooling of the seasons, that my emotions spring up from the ground like mushrooms, mycorrhizal networks of intuition and feeling that communicate through me. The infinite extent of my relations—the infinite extent of the relations within my body and without—locating myself among those relations, finding my bearing once more, knowing without any shadow of a doubt where I belong, where my home is: is this possible?

Reflecting on the empress tarot card Sophie Strand says, “She is the host and the home of the host.” She continues:

“Hundreds of years of simplistic binaries have led us to believe that the hearth fire is tended by the feminine, while the hunt or external world is governed by the masculine. The man is welcomed back into the home, fed, and cared for, but he is never the lap of plenty. He rules the home. But he is not allowed to 'be' the home.”

I never wanted to buy a house. I had to work, caring for my brother, close to 60 hours a week (sometimes more) to be able to afford it, and even then we almost couldn’t. I was worried about maintenance, how we would afford a new roof, or to fix a leaky basement wall, or if a pipe burst: how would we afford that? Every creak and knock and thud sent me into an anxious spiral, convinced the entire house would crumble around me. I cleaned obsessively, trying my best to maintain what we had, trying my best to prevent the inevitable deterioration, to preserve it in its current state. At the same time I was tirelessly working to keep the house from falling apart my own body was deteriorating. I couldn’t sleep, couldn’t breathe, couldn’t think; I had collapsed in on myself. I never liked that house, it never felt like home.

Moving out after separating instantly improved my physical condition. Since then I have been attempting to make my body into the home I have always wished it to be, not just for me but for my son and for those I care for. It feels strange to admit but when my ex was pregnant with my son what I wanted more than anything was to experience what it was like to be a home for him—to carry and nurture human life within my own body. But fertility, fecundity, fructuousness—these are all things I can embody now, within my body and my relations; all people in all places are homes unto themselves, neighborhoods of living and breathing and digesting and reproducing organisms. I want to know my neighbors because I wish to know myself, the neighborhood of my body as well as my environment.

I want to offer myself, my body, as a home to inhabit. Not as an enclosure, one that suffocates or stifles—a prison—but as a home with doors and windows wide open, always welcoming but never keeping; a lodging place where one can find strength and comfort, love and passion and abundance, fertility and creativity—life. I know that for my son he will leave this home and make his own within his own body and with new relations to whatever world he creates. It is my responsibility to prepare him, to give him the tools to help him build his home perhaps—to show him what a home, a true home, is and can be.

To be at home in my body is to be at home in the world; to make my body a home is to make the world my home.

There is a slumbering subterranean fire in nature which never goes out, and which no cold can chill. I woke up when the alarm startled me! I usually wake before the alarm, so when it wakes me, it always startles me... 😊 But I did have a good night where I woke only once for the loo and then slept on till the alarm... I abused the scale, got dressed, took my meds, and cared for Arwen. She was happily eating when I got my bag and headed to the gym.

I checked the social media bits whole I was enjoying my protein shake and waited for the meds to kick in. My right upper leg felt bruised and sore, so today would be a relaxing one. I rode the seated bike for half an hour and then I headed to the massage chair. After that, I got ready to head home again.

Washed up, got brekky, and then Arwen and I got ready for the walkies. We had a good night. It was a bit cold, but there wasn't much wind, and it was dry. So it was a nice night for a walk. Arwen wanted the "in-between" walkies, which was fine by me, as my leg was still a bit wobbly...

I didn't ride the hometrainer when we got back. Instead, I got my laptop and I worked on my blog a bit. 😊 Then I fixed some food, before I prepped to head to Nijmegen. Got the things in the car, and Arwen and I walked a round. Then, we went to Skoosh and drove towards my parents. On the way, bestie called, so we had a nice chat. I had to fill up Skoosh, so I called her back after that for the last bit of the drive. 😊

When mum was ready, we cleaned their car and then headed to Germany. We got the groceries that we needed and filled up their car at the gas station. Back towards Nijmegen, we made a small stop in Kranenburg, to get some snacks for the doggos. Onwards to Appie, where we got the rest of the things.

I helped mum unpack the bags and when she was done with the fridge and her coffee, we took the dogs to the small woods. The weather was good for it and the dogs had a lot of fun! Arwen even played with her ball a little! 😁

We got back, and I packed my bags, and we headed back home. Made food for Arwen and then I struggled with a binge eating attack! 😢 It was hard to deal with but I just could not stop myself! 😞 Ugh I hate it when that happen...

When it was almost time for walkies, N texted already that B wanted out. So we got ready and had a nice walk together. Arwen played a bit in a big puddle, so she was happy too, as she was dripping loads! 💦 Haha!

We got back, I tried to dry Arwen, and then we relaxed till it was time to get ready for bed. I was terribly tired, so I was hoping for a good night.

I woke once and then again, about 50 minutes to the alarm... So I just got up and started my day...

#Journal of a very anxious Dutch Pixy 🧚🏼‍♀️ (Wednesday, 12/03/2025).

I woke before the alarm again. I didn't have a really bad night, but when I woke, I just had to get up, so I did. Did the usual bits and bops, and when Arwen was enjoying her meal, I got my bag and headed to the gym.

I checked up the social media bits while I enjoyed the protein shake, and while the meds were slowly kicking in. I got to the seated bike and rode it for half an hour. Then I walked the treadmill at a slow pace with a slight incline for 1km. Got to the massage chair. And then I switched my shoes and headed back home again.

Washed up, had brekky, and got ready to walk Arwen. It was a bit chillier again this night, with only 1°C. But it was dry and there wasn't much wind, so that was a plus. We had a nice walk. We walked the "in-between" route again. I let Arwen choose and yesterday she went for the long one, but today, she wasn't up for it. Which was all OK. 😊

My leg felt a bit funny at times, like the hip was rattling a bit in the socket. Which could very well be true as the socket had been reloaded a bit. So I didn't mind that Arwen took it easy, as it made me more steady in my walking.

I wasn't really feeling motivated to ride the hometrainer. But I did manage half an hour. I was feeling more anxious about the upcoming procedure every hour, and I didn't like that very much... 😔

I made some food, had a short walk with Arwen, and then watched some telly. At the usual time, we had a walk again. Arwen saw her friend for a short bit, they had a sniff, and then he went home and we went onwards. Arwen did her things and then we headed home again.

Bestie called me when she was driving to her work and we had a nice chat. Then I just relaxed a bit on the couch, as I was really getting anxious...

I walked Arwen and when we got back, mum already pulled up. If course she was early... So she had to wait a bit while I fixed an earlier meal for Arwen, so that she'd not be hungry when I was out and about at the hospital.

I love my mum to bits, but I do feel that her driving skills have gone downward some, and I wasn't all relaxed when I sat next to her. But I tried to be calm, as I was freaking out some already about the upcoming puncture.

We got to the hospital a bit early, so we had to wait for a bit. Then, I finally got called in. Mum stayed in the waiting area. I was so nervous. But the people were very kind to me. All went rather well, but damn... The injection of the sedation stuff was painful. But then he started and I thought it was OK enough. Until he got deeper! Damn!! I was clutching my hands so hard that sweat was dripping from them. It just hurt that much... 😔 It didn't take too long, but for me, it felt like it took ages... When they were done, I felt a bit weird, but that was just the sedation in my leg and the adrenaline in my system...

Mum and I headed home and we got into an argument, as she was being stubborn and then she didn't bieve me, so she drove the wrong way... Ugh... I was sore and wanted to go home. So mum driving the wrong way definitely didn't help. And, as I mentioned, her skills aren't that good anymore. So that made me feel some anxiety as well... But... We made it home safe and sound.

I relaxed a bit until Arwen indicated that she wanted walkies. I texted the neighbor, and a few minutes later, we were on our way. It felt rather weird to walk with that leg still being bummed out a bit... But we made it and the dogs also seemed to have a good time!

Some more relaxing on the couch, until I couldn't stop yawning anymore. So I let Arwen out too wee, and then we got ready for bed time. I took an extra painkiller, and then went to the land of snooze.

I woke once for the loo, and then when my alarm told me it was time to get up. Which startled me a bit, as usually, I'm up before the alarm wakes me.

Feeling a tad sore, I got up and started my new day.

#Journal of a slightly anxious Dutch Pixy 🧚🏼‍♀️ (Tuesday, 11/03/2025).

I woke before the alarm. I slept in one go, but I woke from a very freaky dream! Usually, I don't really remember the details, but this time, the last "moments" were stuck with me... And they were gross! So, I got up, hit the scale, got dressed, took my meds, prepped Arwen's food, and I took her out for a wee. Arwen was eating her food when I headed to the gym.

I enjoyed my protein shake as I was catching up with the notifications. Then I headed to the seated bike and I rode half an hour. After that, I walked a (slower) 1k on the mill, with slight incline. A massage in the chair after that, and then I got ready to head back home again.

Washed up, had brekky, and then Arwen and I headed out for walkies. It was a bit colder that night, but at least it was dry. We had a good walk, and Arwen even wanted the long one! I was very surprised about that, but I let her lead and she seemed to enjoy it loads! 😁

When we got back, I rode the hometrainer for an hour. Then I went back downstairs, changed clothes, and made some food. Arwen and I went out for walkies. Bestie didn't call as she had another thing to deal with, so it was a bit of a boring walk, without the chat...

I relaxed a bit when we got back home. Worked some on my blog. And then I got ready to head to Lidl. I guess many folks were annoyed that I was going 62kmh on a 60 road, as I got more folllwers on the drive than I have at the Fedi! 😂 Just kidding, but there were definitely many folks behind me that had been speeding...

I got to the store a bit early. When I got in, I knew what I needed and, also, I kinda knew where to find it now. So fifteen minutes later, Skoosh and I were on the way back already. Yay!

I relaxed a wee bit and then Arwen wanted walkies again. She was fortunate, as the neighbor was there, so she got soms extra nomnoms again... Lucky 🍀 gall. When we got back, I made some soup, and then I booted the purple beast (my PS5), and I started the Devil in Me game. Trying to do the solo game, and maybe get some trophies along the way. I think there are 30 (well, 31, but the last one only pops when you have the other 30), and I think I have 8 now. So... I have some work to do! Makes me wish I had printer again, as I used to print out the guides, so I could make notes and keep them at hand, which was easier than using the phone for that...

I played a little, and then I fed Arwen. Then she wanted out again, and we ran into the neighbor again. Arwen wanted to walk with them, even though there were no nomnoms involved. I didn't mind, but it did mean a slightly longer walk, so less time to game for me. Ah well, the dogs were happy, and I could chat, so it was all good. 😊

I played the game some more, until my hands were getting annoyed with me. Then I watched some Downton, till it was time to walk Arwen again. We had a nice walk, but the weather was such a change from the previous few days. Grey, with a colder wind, ugh... But then, it's still winter, so we've been blessed with that week of lovely weather.

After walkies, I watched some more Downton, and then I got ready for bed. I was rather tired, as I'd been up a little longer today. Arwen did her thing, and then I headed to bed. It didn't take too long to fall asleep. I woke once for the loo, and then about an hour before the alarm. This seems to be a new thing now? 😔 Ugh... I would like some more sleep brain! Anywhoo... I got up and started my day. Or, night... 🌕

I woke way before the alarm. My body was very sore and made it very clear that there was no way of me getting back to bed. Well, of course I could go back, but I would not be comfortable, or so it let me know. I got to the scale, go dressed, and I took my meds. I prepped Arwen's meal, took her outside for her business, and then I fixed her meal. She was eating happily when I got my bag and headed to the gym.

It was a bit busier still, so I enjoyed my protein drink while the meds kicked in, and I scrolled the socials during that. 😊 I then got to the seated bike. I made it to 40 minutes and then my energy was done. A nice massage in the chair before I got ready to head home again

I washed up, had my brekky, and then Arwen and I headed out for walkies. It wasn't too cold, 5°C, with a real feel at 3, and it was dry. So we had a good walk together. When we got back, I changed my clothes. I headed upstairs to ride the hometrainer. I thought I'd only make it to half an hour, as my back was annoying me. But in the end, I still made it to an hour... 😊

Went back down again, cleaned up and then I got my laptop to work on my blog a bit. Most was prepared for the journal one for Tuesday now. Which felt good. Arwen wanted a walkies so we headed out again. Just a short one.

After that, we relaxed on the couch a bit. Watched some telly, scrolled some social media. Around our usual time, we went for the normal walkies. At one point, Arwen rushed off! I didn't see the neighbor, so I was a bit worried, as I also didn't see Arwen. But... It was the neighbor, she was out early today. She headed home and we resumed the walkies. But Arwen didn't understand, even though she saw them heading home, she kept checking to see if they would come back. My little autistic gall 😂 just like me... Needs the things to be "normal". The walkies was a lot colder now than the nightly ones, as the real feel had dropped to -3 now! At the end of the walkies, bestie called me.

We had a nice chat while she was heading to her work. I watched a little telly and then I got my bags and I headed to Skoosh. We drove to Schaijk, where I went to Jumbo for some groceties. I was a little early, but at 8:06, I was back in Skoosh, ready to head home. Yay me!

I fixed some food, and then Arwen and I went out for walkies again. Arwen was very fortunate, as she saw the neighbor again! And this time there were treats 😂. We had a nice walk together, as it was slowly getting warmer a bit.

When we got back, I switched on the purple beast, and a sweet friend and I started the game "Devil in Me", to resume our game. We finished up killing them all, and we got another trophy for that. 😊

When we logged out of the game, but were still chatting, I got an email from Basic-Fit about the complaint. They explained the situation. And the good thing was, now I could just easily reply and explain the bits. So I did. And... Within 5 minutes, something I tried to sort for over 6 months finally got sorted! Yay! 😁

I got a text that B wanted to work on his tan, so Arwen and I got ready for walkies. It was another lovely walk with sun and a nice temperature. Arwen had some splashes, B got "assaulted", which made him cranky with us for a while (even though all I had done was giggle about it)...

We got back and relaxed on the couch until it was time to get ready for bed. Arwen did her wee, fortunately, and we went to bed. It didn't take too long to fall asleep.

I slept in one go, till an hour before the alarm. I had the weirdest dream then, a bit scary as well, so when I got up, I rely didn't want to go back for the last hour, fearing I may continue the bad dreams.... So... I got up and started my day.

I woke before the alarm. Did the usual things, including being annoyed with the scale... I took my meds, let Arwen out, and I fixed her food. While she was happily eating, I got ready to head to the gym.

I enjoyed my protein shake while I checked my social bits online, as my meds were slowly kicking in as well. I rode the seated bike for a while. But it was hard! There was a big group of young lads, who did nothing wrong! But... They were young, a big group, and so they were loud... Too loud for me... 😔 So I quickly got a massage at the chair and then I headed back home again. Coming outside was such a wave of calm coming over me... Even though I had my headphones and my phone, the sound and the "business" just took a lot of energy from me...

I washed up, changed clothes, had brekky... And then Arwen and I got ready for walkies. The weather was lovely enough, and we had a nice walk. Arwen got all the sniffs. And I was able to "play" with my phone. I created several Quote posts for my blog, which felt good. 😊

When we got home, I changed clothes and I headed upstairs. I rode the seated bike for a while and I used my abs roller for a bit. Then, back down, where I switched clothes again. I got my laptop and, this time it wanted to connect to the interwebs again! Yay! 😅 I was kinda worried as it didn't work last time I tried to use the laptop. I know the laptop is very old and it's not the best anymore. But it's the only pc thingy that I have now, and I do need it for my blog and Flickr from time to time.

When I was working on my blog, Arwen indicated that she wanted to go out. It was an hour earlier than usual but we went out nevertheless. She did her things and kept looking for the neighbor, not understanding that it was too early for them! Back home, I worked on my blog some more. Then, at the usual time, Arwen wanted walkies again. So... We went again. And... No neighbor, so Arwen was a bit bummed...

When we got back, I relaxed a bit on the couch and then I fixed some food. I watched some telly, after I've emptied the top of Arwen's crate, as I would have to move it later that day. After some telly, we walked again and this time Arwen was more lucky... 🍀

We got back, I cleaned up some bits here and there, and then I watched some telly. When I was rested enough, I decided to take away the crate. I cleaned the corner, I got the things that were needed for the drilling for the shelves. Then I fixed some food.

Arwen wanted a short walk again, so we went again... 😅 After that, I relaxed a bit until dad arrived. The first shelf went rather well. The second was a bit less good, as dad was careless and he damaged the wall in several spots. But I got the usual "it happens and you have time enough to fix it", and that's when I got upset. I'm so bloody tired of hearing that I have time enough! All the things that I do alone, that I help mum with, that mum does for him... He doesn't need to do loads, besides sleeping, so yeah, he's got time! But all the chores are mine! And it's not like I don't have to work because I'm rich... I can't work due to my health... 😔 So that means that I may have the time to do stuff, I don't always have the energy for it... Ah well...

When dad and I were done, I tried to clean up a bit. Dad went back home, and Arwen was ready for walkies. I chatted with some neighbors for a while. And then N&B came and we had a lovely walk. There was some nice sun and it was really lovely.

Then I prepped the things for the bedtime routine. I watched som telly and had some food and then, one last short walk with Arwen, before I "hit the hay". 😊

It didn't take too long to fall asleep. I woke once for the loo. And when I woke again, I still had an hour to sleep. But my body was so sore that I just had to get up, which was a bummer. But yeah, I got up and started a new day. Ha, a new week even!

So... I woke up about 40 minutes to the alarm. I'd had a silly dream, so I was rather awake when I got up. The scale was being well, the scale... 😂 As usual... I got dressed, took my meds, prepared Arwen's meat, and took her out for a wee. She was happily eating when I got my bag and headed to the gym. Hoping they would be open...

They were open, so that was a big plus. I enjoyed my protein shake while I waited for my meds to kick in, and while I checked my social bits online. I rode the seated bike for 45 minutes. A nice massage in the chair, and then I headed back home again.

Washed up, had brekky, and got ready to take Arwen for walkies. We had lovely weather and enjoyed the "in-between" round again. This may be the new medium one, as it saves about half a km, which seems to be better for Arwen.

We got back, I changed clothes, and headed to the hometrainer. I was not really motivated and hoped to get half an hour. But in the end I did go for an hour, which even surprised me. 😂 Then... I added half an hour on the treadmill! I had not expected to do that. Normally, I'd be having some food after that. But I didn't really feel hungry. I wanted to relax a bit, so if course Arwen wanted a short walk.

We relaxed a bit on the couch, and then we had our usual walk. After that, I played a wee bit of my Lego Star Wars game. It was ok enough, but I was annoyed that the "second player" was in my way so much, making some things harder then they needed to be... Ugh, silly AI...

Walked another round with Arwen, and then I relaxed with some telly and my phone. When my friend was ready to game, I logged on and we played a bit of "The Devil in Me" together. When Arwen had food, she wanted a walkies. So we had a short walk and then I went back to gaming some more with my friend. 😊

We had a nice walk with N&B, enjoying some lovely sunshine. I watched some telly after that, until we got ready for bed time. A very short stroll with Arwen so that she would wee, and then we headed to bed. It didn't take too long to fall asleep, which was good. I woke once for the loo, and then about half an hour before the alarm was set to go off.

A new day had begun...

My alarm was a bit earlier, as id gone to bed earlier. I did my usual bits, cared for Arwen of course, and then I got ready to head to the gym.

When I got there... It was dark... There was a little note on the door that they'd be closed after 22:15. I checked the app, and that said it should be open... 🤔 So yeah, I was bummed, and I'd driven 11 km there (and then back of course) for nothing...

Arwen gave me a weird look when I entered the house again. I got some things and then Arwen got a snack and I headed upstairs for the hometrainer. I did my best riding it, and I rode on it longer than I usually ride at the gym. It felt weird but also good, in a way, because I was "coping with it". 😊

Went back down, washed up and changed clothes. Had brekky and then went for walkies with Arwen. We had a good walk for sure. It was very enjoyable and I think Arwen had a good time too.

When we got back, I changed clothes again and I got to the treadmill. I walked for about half an hour, with an incline most of the time, and it felt good. I washed up again and then I sat down with the laptop. But... There was something bad with the internet on the laptop. It would not take the LAN cable that I always use. It didn't want to use the home wifi. It didn't want to use the phone Hotspot. It was so weird! And in the end, I just gave up... 😔

I wanted to fix some food then, but Arwen was eager for walkies. So, I took her out for a short walk first. Then I fixed my food and... We went out for walkies again. Arwen saw her friend, so she was a happy gall again.

When we got back home, I swept the floors and prepared the dishwasher for when the sun would pop out. I watched some telly, while also writing for my blog and Masto. I was feeling "slightly" off, dealing with some anxiety for sure. Like I didn't do anything right. Like I messed it all up. Like people were just tired of me... It was really hard and I felt so bad... 😔

The sun came out, so I started the dishwasher. Then I walked Arwen again, and she was fortunate again. 😉 It was good to chat with the neighbor a bit, and to see Arwen have a good time. Or, should I say a "food tkme", with the snacks she's getting from the neighbor. Hihi...

I relaxed on the couch after that, with "The Diplomat" on Netflix. I just felt so tired... And I struggled with snacking a lot, because I felt so bad... 😔

After Arwen had her food, she wanted walkies again. And... We met up with the neighbor again! 😂 Guess it's Arwen's super power! No snacks this time, but she had a good time enjoying her walk with N&B. It was a longer walk than we usually do, but she seemed to really enjoy it...

I relaxed on the couch a bit until it was time for the next walkies. The weather was amazing, with sun and 18°C. And Arwen found a bigger puddle, and my neighbor said she should go for it! And then... She saw it was a bit deeper than she'd thought! 😂 So well, Arwen was dripping loads! 😂 Ah well, she had a great time and that's most important! 😁

I prepped things for bed time, and then watched some telly, till it was time to get ready for bed. I walked a very short round with Arwen, but it helped, as she did wee now before bed time. 😊

I fell asleep rather quickly. Woke once for the loo, and then about 45 minutes to the alarm. I had a weird dream, so I was awake and ready to start my day...

I had set the alarm earlier due to Arwen not wanting to wee before bed time. But I woke before that alarm, having slept in one go. Got to the scale, still slightly above the 80kg, and got dressed. Took my meds, prepped Arwen's food, let her wee, and then I gave the food and snacks and headed to the gym.

It was an easy drive, without any drunk folks on the roads now (carnival was over...). Got to the gym, twiddled on social media, enjoyed the protein shake, and when the meds kicked in, I got to the seated bike. I rode my bit. Then, I was just so tired from the short night and some worries over Arwen, as this was the second time she didn't want to wee before bed. So I enjoyed the massage chair and then I headed back home again.

Washed up, changed clothes, had brekky, and I took Arwen for SniffiVerse™ walkies. It wasn't too cold, with 2°C, and a real feel of 0, according to the weather witches 🧙🏻‍♀️. But there was barely any wind. So it didn't feel too bad. We had a nice walk. There was a lovely moon, almost half full. I took a snap, or well, tried to get one, and we moved on. Arwen had all the sniffs, and things were already a bit better after all the smelly carnival stuff being gone. When we walked the more open bit, I saw the moon was getting more red and darker. I got one decent snap, and then it got too dark for my phone to register it. It was beautiful, but it was not listed anywhere as something what would happen this night. 🤔

We got back, and I changed clothes and got to the treadmill. Walked for another 45 minutes, and then I got ready to fix some food.

I got my bags after that, walked Arwen, and headed to Skoosh. We drove to Nijmegen. During the ride, bestie called me, and we had a nice chat. I filled up Skoosh at the gas station, and called my friend for the last few minutes of the drive.

Mum was ready rather early, so we could head to Smurf and drive to Germany. We got almost all the groceries that we needed, so that was good. On the way back, we stopped at Appie and got the rest. I unpacked all the bags and set everything ready for mum to easily get it in the right spots. When she was done, and had her coffee, we headed to the small woods.

Arwen even played with her ball a little! Which was awesome... 😊 When we got back, dad and I went to the hardware store. Dad got some things he needed, plus some firewood that I could carry (I offered but I didn't know we'd go through the store twice with me holding the ten kilos of stuff 😂). But, dad got me the cloth for the garden gate! So tomorrow I'll text a neighbor, and ask if he would be able to help me with it, as he did it for their garden as well. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 he'll have time and be OK to help...

When we got back, I got my groceries and then we headed back home again. I saw N had texted, asking for earlier walkies. Whoops, change of routine! I quickly fed Arwen, got the stuff in the fridge, and then we headed out. We had a very nice walk, the weather was lovely with sun and 16°C.

When we got back, I watched some telly. Then I got very tired, so seeing we had some more time, I decided to walk Arwen this time, hoping she'd wee then. And... It worked! She did a wee and a poop, so I could go to bed with a peaceful mind.

I hell asleep rather easily, woke once for the loo, and then when my alarm told me it was time to get up. But this day... Would be "off routine" as well...

I got up before the alarm. I had a weird night with waking several times, and having silly dreams every time I fell asleep again... 😔 So I didn't feel all rested when I got up... But hey ho, I did get up. The scale was being its usual self. I got dressed, took my meds, and then cared for Arwen. When she was happily eating, I got my bag, cleaned Skoosh her windows, and headed to the gym. Last night of drunk folks on the road, due to the carnival...

I got to the gym, enjoyed my protein shake, and caught up with social media bits. Then I used the seated bike for half an hour. Followed by ten minutes on the crosstrainer. It was rather busy, for me, so I just headed to the massage chair before I got ready to head home again.

I washed up, changed clothes, had brekky. Then I got ready to walk Arwen. It wasn't too cold, with -2°C, as there wasn't any wind. And it was dry, which was a plus as well. 😊 We had a good walk, although Arwen wasn't too interested in the selfies, just in the snack 😂.

When we came home, I changed my clothes and I headed to the hometrainer. Rode it for 45 minutes. Then I went back down, walked the treadmill for 20 minutes as well. Then I changed clothes again, and fixed some food. After the meal, Arwen and I went for walkies. When we got back, I wrote a little on Masto, and then bestie called me. So we had a nice chat.

I tried to get the Wii to work, but for some reason, it only gave me some picture for a few seconds, and that was it. I tried with and without the HDMI switch, I tried different HDMI cables... Ugh... I'll need to take the Wii upstairs and try it there. Maybe it's the telly? Maybe it's the converter... 🤔

I played my game a little, washed Arwen's towels, and then they were hung to dry, Arwen wanted walkies again. When we were almost back, we saw the neighbor, so it was an extra bit of walkies... Then I got the brackets for the shelf and I spray painted those. Played my game some, and I tried a few others as well. But I wasn't too successful... I lost the ability to focus, so that wasn't good when trying new games... 😔

Arwen and I had some food. And then, of course, more walkies. And when we headed out, we saw the neighbor again! 😂 It's like Arwen knows when they're heading out or something...

When we got back, I just relaxed on the couch with some telly, watching my dvds of Without A Trace. Arwen was snoring, until a few minutes after the walkies time. Then she was like "hello, aren't you forgetting something?!", 😂. So we walked with the neighbor and her dog. A little shorter walk, but that was OK.

I watched some more telly and then I let Arwen out to wee. But... She refused to wee again... 😔 So... Back to changing the alarm again... Ugh... When I went to bed, I heard Arwen pant some. So I went back and I offered her the garden, should she really need a wee now. But, she just looked around. Then she went to the couch and started snoring, so I went back to bed as well.

I slept in one go till about 15 minutes to the alarm. I guess my subconscious knew again that Arwen needed to go out. So I got up and started my day (or well, night... 😉).

I woke before the alarm. I did set it earlier some, as Arwen had refused to wee before bed time... 😔 But I woke even earlier. Guess my subconscious was very aware that Arwen may need to wee badly, which was of course the case. The scale wasn't too joyful. I got dressed, took meds, and let Arwen out. Fixed her food, and then I prepared to leave for the gym. Had to clean Skoosh again, as the windows were frozen again. Can't it be spring yet? 😇

I remembered to take the different route, as there is a road closed off due to construction. So it was good that I remembered. 😊 It will be closed for almost two weeks, so gotta keep thinking about that a bit. I enjoyed my protein shake at the gym. Caught up with the social media bits. As I was earlier, it was still more busy. 😔 So I rode the seated bike for half an hour and then I walked the treadmill for 1k, with a slight incline. I enjoyed the massage chair after that and then it esd time to get ready to head home again. 😊

Washed up, changed clothes, had brekky. And then Arwen and I went out again. We walked the "in-between" route again. Arwen protested a bit but then she just hobbled along and had all the sniffs... It was a dry night and even though it was freezing slightly, it didn't feel too bad.

When we got home, I changed clothes and headed upstairs. Rode the hometrainer for about 45 minutes. Used the abs roller for a few reps. Even used the dumbbells a short time. Then I headed down, changed clothes again, and I got my laptop. Worked on my journal blog post, so it could go live this morning. Then I fixed some food, and a get the meal, Arwen and I went out for walkies again. We saw the neighbor again, so Arwen got extra cuddles. When we got back, bestie called me, so we had a nice chat while she was heading to her work.

Then I got ready to head to the supermarket for some groceries. When I got back, I played my game (Lost Records) a bit. Then, Arwen wanted walkies, so we headed out. And Arwen was fortunate, as we were almost back and then... The neighbor came, with snacks this time! So we walked a bit extra... 😊

When we got home I played my game a bit more. Then the sun came into the garden, so I finally started the work on my dirty shelf. It got the first layer of spray paint on. And I gamed some more. After Arwen had some food, she wanted out again. There was a parcel due to arrive, so I just wanted a short walk. But... There was the neighbor again! 😂 No nomnoms, but Arwen just had to join them anyway.

Fortunately we came home before the parcel service had been there... I spray painted the other side of the shelf, and then I gamed some more. The parcel came, so that was good too. I connected the Wii converter, but I didn't try it yet. I sprayed the other side of the shelf again, gamed some more, till it was time to walk again with Arwen.

We had lovely weather, and the sun was really warm. Then I cleaned up the shelf stuff and watched some telly till it was time to get to bed. This time, fortunately, Arwen did wee... I went to bed and it didn't take too long to fall asleep.

Unfortunately, I had several weird dreams, so when I finally got up, I didn't feel all that rested. But hey ho, a new day was beginning for me...

I got up just before the alarm. I guess the scale wasn't too bad, just a bummer that I can't seem to get below the 80 kilos these days. I got dressed, I took my meds, and I cared for Arwen. She was happily eating when I got my bag and headed to the gym.

After some social media, my protein shake, and my meds kicking in, I headed to the seated bike. I rode it for 43 minutes and then I was just exhausted... 😔 So I went to the massage chair and relaxed a bit. Then, I changed my shoes, and headed back home again.

Washed up, had brekky, and then got ready for walkies with Arwen. The weather was good enough for a nice walk. It was slightly freezing, but there wasn't much wind, so that was good. And it was dry. 😊 Arwen and I walked the "in-between" walkies. Not the short one but also not the medium one. Seems like Arwen really wants the shorter one these days, but I try to persuade her to the "in between" ones, as it is better for her and me. And when we're walking there, she seems OK and to be enjoying all the sniffs.

When we got back, I changed clothes and headed upstairs. I rode the hometrainer for 43 minutes as well. Then I got my abs roller and rolled a bit with it. I changed clothes again and worked on my blog a bit. Then, I fixed food and after that, Arwen and I went out for walkies.

We did run into the neighbor, bit there were no snacks. Arwen enjoyed the cuddles nevertheless. Then bestie called me as we were heading home. While on the phone, I decided to mop the house a bit. Just a quick one, but everything I cleaned, would be better than before I did that, I guess. 😊

After the call and mopping, I needed some relaxing. I managed to squeeze in some gaming, before I had to clean Skoosh again so we could head to the new Lidl. I was a wee bit early, but it wasn't too busy yet... So within 15 minutes, I found all that I needed, and I paid, and I headed back home again.

Some more gaming, till Arwen wanted out for walkies again. And, she was lucky again, as we saw the neighbor again, this time with nomnoms... Back home, I got back to my game again. I was really eager to know more about the story!

When Arwen had her meal, she wanted out again. No neighbor this time... Bummer for her. But then I could get back to my game again! Every time I was just getting into it, Arwen just wanted out! 😂

Then the neighbor texted that B really wanted his walkies. So, I quickly saved the game and we went out. We had a lovely walk, and it was 10°C and sunny, so that was an extra plus.

I played my game some more and then got ready for bed. Unfortunately, Arwen was very stubborn, and she didn't want to wee... So, grumbling, I changed my alarm time a bit, and I headed to bed. It didn't take too long to fall asleep. I woke 45 minutes before the alarm, at my old time, and quickly went to the loo. Then the scale, and I got dressed. Guess my subconscious was aware that Arwen may need to wee, which she did when we headed out.

And a new day had begun. It wasn't Tuesday yet, as I got up earlier...

The alarm woke me and I didn't feel like I was ready to start the day. I've had some weird dreams, so I didn't feel all that rested, unfortunately... But hey, I got up and started my routine. The scale could be better, but it could be worse too, I guess. Got dressed and I took my meds. Prepped Arwen's food and let her out for a wee. She was doing her thing while I used the ice scraper to clean Skoosh' windows some. Apparently, it was cold enough for frozen windows... I gave Arwen her food and snacks, and I headed to Skoosh. Started her up, and managed to clean the rest of the windows. Then, onwards to the gym!

A sweet friend had texted me, so I spend some time catching up with them. 😊 I rode the seated bike for half an hour. Then I went to the strength machines, but I only did one exercise there. It was just so hard to do, and I had all these excuses to why I didn't need to do them... 😔 Enjoyed a massage in the chair, and then I switched shoes and headed back home again. This time, I did remember to pick up my meds in Schaijk, so that's been done as well (just in time).

I washed up, changed clothes to something warmer, and had brekky. Then, Arwen and I headed out for walkies. It was dry and it didn't feel too cold. At one point, Arwen got very excited. I didn't understand, until I saw a drunk dude, with a 4-pack of beers with him, lying in the bushes, sleeping it off.... 🫣 It was so cold... But as it was just me and Arwen, and the dude did move, I just dragged Arwen along. I had to drag her along some more, as some spots seemed to be more popular for the males to urinate... 🤢 The smells of stale beer and urine made me drag Arwen along some... The joys of the Carnaval, I guess...

We walked the "in-between" walkies. Not the short ones, not the medium ones, but in between that. Arwen got all the sniffs. And I got to play with my phone some... 😊 When we got back, I switched clothes and I headed upstairs. I rode the hometrainer for 45 minutes. Then I folded up yesterday's laundry. I also managed to clean up some more bits. 😊

I headed back down, changed clothes again, and made some food. After that, Arwen and I headed out for walkies again. Arwen saw her friend, but no nomnoms, but was still pleased. When we got back, I tinkered with the HDMI and the game consoles. I could not get the Blu-ray to work through the switch, but the PS3, and later the PS2, seemed to be working from it! Yay!

I hoovered the floors and then it was time to walk Arwen again. So when we got back, I wondered if I had hoovered at all, with all the sand on Arwen! 😂 I fixed us some food, and then I watched some Cold Case through the PS3. I was charging the controllers and that can only work when they're connected by USB to the console. So while they charged, I just watched some telly. When they were done, I wanted to play a game on the PS5. But Arwen had other plans, she wanted out again. And... Again... She ran into her friend! No nomnoms, but still many cuddles.

Then I could finally play a game. I decided to play something on PS+. I saw a new game in the collection, called "Lost Records: Bloom & Rage". It was a game that seemed to be my "cup of tea", so I started it and enjoyed it till it was time to walk Arwen again.

We had a nice walk with N&B, and there was even some sun! When we got back, I played the game some more, till it was time to get ready for bed.

It didn't take too long to fall asleep. I woke once for the loo. And then again, just a few minutes before the alarm was set to go off... Ready to start a new week! Although I did feel a bit sleepy still...

I woke when the alarm told me it was time to get up. I was a bit confused as I didn't even realize that it was the alarm that woke me at first... Whoops! 🫣 I got to the scale, got dressed, I took my meds, and I cared for Arwen. When she was happily eating, I got my bag and headed to the gym. Had to be careful at some spots, due to (drunk?) carnaval folks being out and about. But all went well.

Caught up with the social media bits, and then I got to the seated bike. I rode for almost half an hour and then I went to the treadmill. I walked one km with a slight incline, and then I visited the massage chair. Changed shoes and headed back home again. And, again, I forgot to pick up my meds at the pharmacy! Whoops! 😔

Washed up, had brekky, and headed out with Arwen for walkies. The weather was a bit colder but it was not too bad. We walked the route that's in between the small and medium one. Arwen got the sniffs and I got some steps in and some time on my phone while Arwen was getting said sniffs.

When we got back, I changed my clothes and I hit the treadmill. Walked 3,5km, most with a slight 3% incline. I wish I could walk faster, but I have to keep my bad hip happy... After that, I changed clothes and I fixed some food. I got my laptop, and started working on my journal post. I thought I'd done some work already, but guess who needed to still start it? Yeah, this gall... 😂

We went out for short walkies, and Arwen saw her friend again, so she was happy, even though there were no nomnoms involved. When we got back, I worked on the blog some more. The dishwasher was doing it's magic, and the washing machine did that too. When it was done, I hung the stuff out. And I managed to unpack one box as well, yay for that! 😁

I worked some more on my blog, and then my eyes started to annoy me, so I saved it all and put the laptop away. I finally hooked up the HDMI hub. I've nit tried it out yet but the TV did say it saw it so that's good. It should connect the Blu-ray, the Wii and the PS2 when I'm done with it.

I watched some telly while lying on the couch with Arwen. Then, Arwen wanted walkies so we headed out. Of course we ran into her friend, guess that was the reason she wanted out so badly 😂.

I first swept the floors, as we had our one beach inside the house again... Then, I fixed us some food and after that, we relaxed on the couch together. I watched some more Person of Interest, while also scrolling some on the Fedi.

Around 13:15, the neighbor texted that she was at Ikea, so she wasn't going to make it for walkies... Bummer for Arwen (and me). We went on walkies by ourselves, but Arwen kept checking the surroundings, just in case I was wrong and her friend was there! Well, he wasn't so she had to make due with me.

We watched some more telly before I got so tired that I got ready for bed 15 minutes early. Fortunately, Arwen did a quick wee and then er got to bed. It didn't take too long to fall asleep.

I woke once for the loo and then when my alarm told me it was time to get up again. Hello Sunday, let's do this! 😉

I woke just before the alarm. The scale was kinder today, which was nice. 😊 Got dressed, took meds, cared for Arwen, and when she was happily eating, I put out the snacks and headed to the gym.

I checked up with the social media bits. And then I got to the seated bike. Rode for half an hour. Then I walked one km on the treadmill, mostly with a slight incline. I enjoyed a massage in the chair and then I drove back home again.

Washed up, had brekky, and got ready to head out in SniffiVerse™ walkies with Arwen. The weather was dry though a bit colder. Arwen walked rather well and got many sniffs in. Until we came to the place where we can head back home early. She immediately started limping again! 🤔 As the weather wasn't too bad, and as she'd been walking a lot better than that, I took her for a bit longer walk. Not all the way to the roundabout, but a bit longer nevertheless. And... A few meters later, Arwen was walking better again! 🤔 We took things slow enough, and Arwen had all the sniffs...

When we got back, I changed my shoes and headed upstairs. I rode the hometrainer for an hour. Then I headed back down, fixed food and enjoyed it. A walkies after that. And, Arwen was lucky, as she ran into her friend again. The neighbor didn't have snacks, but she was happy with the cuddles nevertheless. 😊

We were back again, and I settled on the couch. I played a little of No Man's Sky, and then we had to get ready to head to the vet. Arwen got her cuddles and the injection, I got the bill! 😂 I had wanted to visit the new Lidl on the way back, but it was rather busy, and Arwen was with me, so I'll go there early next Monday and check it out. 😊

We went on walkies again, and when we were almost back, Arwen saw the neighbor again! This time with nomnoms, so she was a very happy gall! 😁 After walkies I had some food and then I logged back in to No Man's Sky, this time with a very sweet friend. We had a very nice chat while we were gaming.

Then, when I was saving the game, I got a text about walkies. B was a bit earlier today... So we quickly got ready. And we had a nice walk together, even with some lovely sun! I watched some telly after that, until it was time to get ready for bed. Arwen did her wee and then I dived in bed.

It didn't take too long to fall asleep. Although I did wake up after a while with some bad heartburn... Took some meds and then, after a while, I fell asleep again. Woke once more for the loo, and then when my alarm told me it was time to get up again. Ready to start the weekend!

Got up with the alarm. I had a kind of restless night, where I had some weird dreams and I woke a few times for the loo... So when my alarm went off, I wasn't really prepared to get up... But, I did. Got to the scale, which was rather unkind. OK, the weight was down some, but so was my health score... Got dressed and I took my meds. Cared for Arwen. She was eating happily when I put out the snacks and grabbed my bag. Onwards to the gym.

A very sweet friend had texted me some updates, so I was rather busy with catching up. I did ride the seated bike for half an hour. And I enjoyed the massage chair. But I didn't do anything else. And it felt bad, in a way, but maybe it was just what I needed this night...

I got home, washed up, changed clothes, and enjoyed brekky. They predicted some rain, with a 50-60% chance, so I was prepared. The walkies went well, we did a medium one, with a slight short cut. At the short cut, I just told Arwen that we were fortunate with the weather. So of course it poured down within three minutes from then! 😂 Will I never learn? 🤔

When we got back, I got upstairs and I rode the hometrainer for a while. Then I went down to fix some food. After that, I prepared the bits for heading to Nijmegen and Germany today. When all was in the car, I walked Arwen and then we were on our way.

Mum and I took Skoosh to Germany, so I could fill her up there. We got the groceries we needed and headed to the Appie for some other bits. A quick stop at Jumbo for mum and then we headed back home. I sorted the groceries and took some to the cellar for mum. She got the bits in the right places, and then, when she had some coffee, we headed to the small woods.

The dogs had a nice time there, although Arwen missed her ball. But the way she's been walking lately, I didn't want to make things worse with a ball. She'll get her injection tomorrow, so hopefully she'll feel a bit better after that....

When we got back, I got the groceries and then Arwen and I headed back home. I unpacked half of the groceries, fixed food for Arwen and myself, and then I relaxed till it was time for walkies with N&B.

We were very fortunate, as we had dry walkies! As soon as we got home... It started to rain! There was a new "Found" episode so I watched that before I got ready for bed.

I was a bit cold so I used the heated blanket to fall asleep. Of course I woke a bit later feeling way too hot! 😂 But I had a decent night and woke about 15 minutes to the alarm. Ready to start a new day... It's almost weekend!!

I woke an hour before the alarm. I had some weird dreams so I was rather awake and not interested in sleeping some more. Got to the scale, yeah, ugh... I took my meds, cared for Arwen, and then I got my bag and headed to the gym.

Enjoyed my protein shake while I waited for the meds to kick in. Checked my socials and then I got to the cardio bits. Did ten minutes on the crosstrainer and then half an hour on the seated bike. Enjoyed the massage chair before I got ready to head home again.

Washed up, had brekky, and dressed properly, as it was raining loads! Like it had to catch up a bit for us having had some dry days... Of course Arwen had all the sniffs. So I was glad with my rain pants and umbrella... As expected, Arwen didn't want the longer walkies. And this time, I totally agreed! Bloody rain...

When we got back, and we were dried and changed, I headed upstairs to ride the hometrainer. Of course, then I didn't hear the rain on the window anymore and it got dry... Just our luck... 😇 I rode the bike for a while and then I did a few "rolls" with the abs roller that I have. Below that big blob that's my belly, there must be some muscles there... 🤔 When I got down, I also walked half an hour on the treadmill, to make up for the shorter round with Arwen.

I fixed some food and then Arwen and I headed out for walkies. It was dry still, but very muddy. She had a decent walk and did her things. During the walk, my head started aching. It was like my ADHD was running wild again, this time causing big discomforts. When we got home, I scheduled an appointment with the GP, but yeah, it's in three weeks. They had some earlier slots, but never when it was convenient for me. Ah well...

I lay on the couch with the telly on for a while. I'd taken a painkiller, so I was hoping that this would help... Then I wrote a bit for my blog. Another walkies with Arwen, and she was fortunate to run into N&B... Nomnoms!

When we got back, I switched on the PS5 and started No Man's Sky. I finished the expedition and got back to the main save. But something went wrong and I didn't get one of the rewards. It said I claimed it, but it wasn't there... 🤔 So I wrote a ticket to the game company, maybe they can help me out... Fingers crossed 🤞🏻.

I gamed till it was time to get ready for walkies again. The parcels that were coming both arrived at a good time. I unpacked it and started to install some of it. Will do the rest soon, I hope. And then, again, fingers crossed 🤞🏻 that it will all work as intended.

We had a good walk with N&B. I watched some telly until it was time for Arwen's last wee before bed time. It didn't take too long to fall asleep. I woke twice during the night, and then when the alarm woke me. Thursday was about to begin!

I woke before the alarm. Got to the scale. Nope, we're still not back be being friends yet... Got dressed, I took my meds, cared for Arwen. When she was happily eating, I put out the snacks and headed to the gym.

Tried to catch up with my social media and when the meds had kicked in, and the protein shake had been enjoyed, I started on the seated bike. After half an hour, my leg was done. My muscles were still sore from the "let's do this bit" in the free gym in Sunday night, so I headed to the massage chair. After my ten minutes were up, I got ready to head home again.

Washed up, changed clothes, had brekky. Then Arwen and I headed out for walkies. The weather was decent enough, so Arwen got in all the sniffs. We walked between the short and the medium walkies, so it wasn't too bad.

When we got back, I got my laptop and worked to finish my journal blog post. It took a bit longer than I had thought it would. I went to the treadmill after that and walked for half an hour at a slow pace, but with a slight incline.

Fixed some food, and then walked with Arwen. We saw the neighbor and her dog and chatted a bit. When we got home, I wrote a bit for my blog while chatting some on social media. Arwen wanted another walkies, so we headed out. Some relaxing after that. Then I fixed her food, had another short walk, and then I got ready to head to Cuijk.

Physio was good. Next time will be in three weeks, so it will be a long while... I'll first have the puncture, and maybe I'll know a bit more by the time I have my appointment. Although the doc has a calling appointment scheduled two weeks after the puncture, so I may not know anything then yet....

On the way back, I got some groceries at Lidl. A quick drink when I got home and then it was time to walk with N&B. We had a nice walk so that was fun. An hour of telly watching, then I let Arwen out for a last wee. I headed to bed and it didn't take too long to fall asleep.

Woke once for the loo. And then again, an hour before my alarm. But I had some weird dreams, so I was wide awake. I got up, and started my day...

I woke one minute before the alarm! Got up, did my usual thing. The scale was not too bad, I guess, but of course I wanted it to be better... Guess I'll have to do better then as well.... 😔 Ugh... I got dressed, took my meds, prepared Arwen's food. Took her out so she could wee, then fixed her meal. Put out the snacks and then I got my bag to head to the gym.

Checked my social bits online, while enjoying the protein shake, and waiting for the meds to kick in. I started at the seated bike and at some point, I realized that the gym was very quiet! The music was off, which I never mind. But, I was the only one there as well! So I took advantage and recorded a little clip of me using the Smith Machine. 😊 Nothing too fancy though, but it was fun to do this again. Then I used the massage chair before I got ready to head back home again.

Cared for Arwen's paw, washed up, changed clothes, and had brekky. Then Arwen and I headed out for walkies. There was a chance of rain, to I took my umbrella. Fortunately, I didn't need it. 😊 I tried to walk a longer route again, and after a while, Arwen indicated that she needed to shorten it. We could do that, so we did. It was a good walk, a bit slow, but we made it.

When we got back, Arwen went to the land of snooze, and I went upstairs to ride the hometrainer. I rode it for 45 minutes. Then I headed back down, and fixed some food. There was some slight rain when Arwen and I went out for walkies. But Arwen didn't mind. She was a bit disappointed that er didn't see her friend though.

When we got back, I relaxed a bit on the couch. Wrote a bit for my blog while watching some telly. Then I got my bag, and I headed to the supermarket for some foods. After I got back, I watched a bit more telly, and then I went out for walkies with Arwen again. This time she was lucky, as she did see her friend now.

We got back, and I went to the couch with some more telly. I was just feeling so tired... After I had given Arwen some food, she indicated she wanted short walkies. So, we went out again when we were almost back, the neighbor and her dog came out, so of course we needed extra walkies then! 😂

Some more telly time until it was time for the usual afternoon walkies. The weather was wet and windy so that was a bummer... But we had a decent walk, and Arwen had found some nice muddy puddles to enjoy! 😂

Watched some telly while spending some time on Fedi. Then the last wee for Arwen before we headed to sleep.

It didn't take too long to fall asleep. I woke once for the loo, and then about 8 minutes before the alarm was set to go off. I had some weird dreams, so it wasn't the most restful night. But still, it wasn't too bad...
