About

My father rates every movie, TV show, book and ebook that he encounters on a scale of 1-10. He has been doing this for 40 years and has a sophisticated notebook system (pictured below). He also re-watches and re-reviews his top 100 every decade. This project started with me looking for a way to do this digitally. With no leads and a desire to create a 21st century solution, JUG1T3R and myself set out to make this happen. Along the way, Retrospector started to grow on us and we are now adamant users. The long and short of it is: there was no way to rate stuff so we invented a way.

The name comes from the word retrospective which is looking back on past events. Thus Retrospector is a tool that allows one to log retrospective thoughts and opinions on the media he or she consumes. Of course it also has the added bonus of Charts and Lists!
