quick-mail-merge is an email mass-sending tool with a very simple interface. It was crammed in a few hours but is relatively stable for being so spaghetti.
- Modify
config.jsto include your email, password, etc. Also change the "from" and "subject" keys. - Modify
assets/email.txtandassets/email.txtwith your email contents. Always provide a text-only version (in the.txtfile) in case a user cannot load HTML. Images should also be links to online places, as local files will not be embedded onto the email. To include variables inside of the CSV, just write{{{<key name>}}}, and the mailer will replace all matching values. The key is case-sensitive, so be careful. - Enter the data to be used in
assets/data.csv. - Modify
config.js's "emailColumn" to target the column name of the email receipients. - Run it with
bin\index.exeon your command prompt or terminal. If you're using a release build, just double-click onquick-mail-merge.exe.
Successful emails are appended to okay.csv. Failed emails are appended to failed.csv. You can use this to restart email sending batches.
