At some point I'll make my readme file all cool and whatnot but for now this is what we're working with. That being said HII everyone, I'm Andrew, I'm a 2nd year math and engineering student at Oklahoma State with a passion for programming and development. Specifically, I'm seeking a BS in mathematics, where I have a particular interest in analysis and pure math. I am also seeking two BE's in both Electrical and Computer engineering, as well as a concentration in software engineering within my computer engineering degree.
I've grown up in a family that works in technology so I've always kind of been around programming but my first real personal experience was in the middle of COVID, my freshman year of highschool, playing around a bit with Discord Bots (python) and TModLoader (C#). This was mostly dabbling though, and I didn't really get anywhere until I had to use arduino (basically c++) for a class my Junior year. I got WAY more into it than any person has the right to and full sent into programming at that point. About a year later (and I'm still proud of this) I decided to learn web development and managed to create a fully functional full-stack Cards Against Humanity remake using express.js and socket.io.
Professionally, I am currently interning at MIRATECH in Tulsa, OK. where I am working on developing software for SCR control systems. This work is basically entirely in Python and Bash, however I have managed to throw some C++ and JS into a few side-projects. Personally though, I most enjoy web development, as I've found it to be the most rewarding, at least for my interests.
As a general thing, I would, as many others would too, consider myself a spite-based developer. While I do programming for a variety of reasons, I've found my best work is usually the result of "why the hell would they design it like that? Screw it, I'm gonna do it myself, just to prove a point".
Finally, and I mean this with full seriousness...
while mobile development and minecraft modding are tempting, every single interaction I have with the language reminds me that god is dead, and we killed him.
Anyway, that's me, I love learning and trying new things and my GitHub is primarily to track that fact.
