Check the readme for instructions on how to install PyXRD and its dependencies.
Originally PyXRD was designed to be a simple XRD pattern figure maker for our MSc students at the Laboratory of Soil Science. As such, it can be used to display and modify X-ray diffraction data, add markers for annotation of reflections and match these markers with a (limited) set of minerals using their characteristic reflections. However, PyXRD can also be used to model X-ray diffraction data for clay minerals (including mixed-layers). Data is organized using 'Projects' containing one or more 'Specimens'. For a quick tutorial on how to use PyXRD for modelling we refer to the manual.
