The testing branch can be tested using:
# fresh install:
sudo yunohost app install https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/mautrix_whatsapp_ynh/tree/testing
# upgrade an existing install:
sudo yunohost app upgrade mautrix_whatsapp -u https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/mautrix_whatsapp_ynh/tree/testing
