Description

This PR adds the Cursor MCP Installer to the community servers list. This tool helps users easily install and configure other MCP servers within Cursor IDE.

Server Details

  • Server: New community server entry
  • Changes to: README.md (adding new server to the list)

Motivation and Context

The Cursor MCP Installer simplifies the process of adding MCP servers to the Cursor IDE. It helps users to quickly install and configure MCP servers from npm packages, local directories, and Git repositories, making it easier for the community to leverage the Model Context Protocol within Cursor.

How Has This Been Tested?

The Cursor MCP Installer has been tested with:

  • Claude in Cursor IDE
  • Installation of various community MCP servers (web search, filesystem, etc.)
  • Installation of OpenAPI schema servers
  • Installation of Python-based MCP servers
  • Local directory installations

Breaking Changes

No breaking changes. This PR only adds a new entry to the community servers list.

Additional context

The Cursor MCP Installer was recently updated to version 0.1.3 with significant improvements to path handling for all MCP server installations, better OpenAPI schema detection, and more robust server discovery in local directories.

  • Configure MCP servers for Cursor IDE
  • Special handling for OpenAPI schema servers and Python-based servers

Thanks for your support team. I have a few other MCPs that I cannot see in the market plus some generative approaches more autonomous use of MCPs with their own sub-processes that are working well in production for us that I will be sharing some parts of with the community soon.
