Ocean Protocol Hands-On Workshop

Welcome to the Ocean Protocol Hands-On Workshop! This workshop is designed to give you hands-on experience with Ocean Protocol's technology stack and help you build real-world applications.

Workshop Schedule

Part 1: Introduction (1:15 PM - 2:10 PM) - Open to Everyone

  • Introduction to Ocean Nodes
  • Q&A Session
  • Tech stack presentation and demo
  • Tech stack Q&A Session

Part 2: Hands-On Workshop (2:30 PM - 4:30 PM) - Let's build!

  • Tool Setup and Demo Algorithm Testing (20 mins)
  • Track Sorting and algorithm used explained (10 mins)
  • Algorithm Development (40 mins)
  • Deploying and Running on Ocean Nodes (15 mins)
  • Evaluation and Networking (30 mins)

Prerequisites

Required Equipment

  • Laptop (mandatory for hands-on participation)
  • VS Code installed on your laptop
  • Ocean Protocol VS Code Extension installed from the VS Code Marketplace

Repository Setup

Before the evaluation, please ensure you have:

  1. Created a new fork of the repository
  2. Made your changes in the forked repository under the folder assigned to your track
  3. Committed and pushed your changes

Evaluation Criteria

Your work will be evaluated by the ocean protocol team based on the following criteria (100% total):

  • Creativity / Product Mindset (40%)
  • Extended Parameters Implementation (25%)
  • Topic-related Enhancements (25%)
  • Out-of-the-box Functionality (10%)

Technical Requirements

Coding experience is mandatory. We will provide you with a basic template to get started. Template will be available in the workshop repository.
