📦 AI-Driven Dev {Aliases}

A list of aliases and pre-written scripts to help you inject AI into your dev workflow.

🖥️ Installation

To install the aliases:

curl -sSf "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ai-driven-dev/aliases/main/install.sh" | bash

Expected output:

# Create TMP folder if not exist.
# Removing existing TMP folder.
# /tmp/aidd
# Download and extract source.
# Create DEST folder if not exist.
# Copy files from /tmp/aidd to /Users/alexsoyes/.ai-driven-dev.
# AI-Driven-Dev successfully installed: use 'aidd-help' to get started.

Then you need to connect to a LLM API for certain commands.

Connect to OpenAI's GPT (recommended)

Provide an OpenAI API key in ~/.ai-driven-dev/.env.

OPENAI_API_KEY=sk-<your-api-key>

Or directly in your .bashrc file.

export OPENAI_API_KEY=sk-<your-api-key>

Connect to a local model (Ollama supported)

Alternatively, you can use Ollama.

Provide a local model name in the .env file in ~/.aidd directory.

LOCAL_MODEL=codellama # deepseek-coder, qwen2 etc.

Note: Responses might be way less effective than OpenAI's GPT calls.

⌨️ Development

In the cloned directory, you can run the following command to install the scripts locally and add the aliases to your .bashrc file.

Scripts

When you do want to test your new scripts without pushing those to the repository.

bash install-local.sh && source ~/.bashrc && aidd-help
