Tell us your idea!

Früher konnte man seinen Fund mit einem Click auf Twitter teilen. So eine Funktion wünsche ich mir für Mastodon oder von mir aus Insta/FB

What solution would you suggest?

Unless it's absolutely necessary, I'd prefer not to add another external service to c:geo. But we could transform the "log posted successfully" toast into a snackbar with the option to call a share intent. The user could then select one of their favorite social media apps.

Hi, my team and I would like to work on this.

I want to ask for input on the structure of the shared log text.

Should the shared text be:
(1) simple and only include the user's raw log text in the shared text, or
(2) add some context to make it more suitable for sharing on social media?

For example, we could prepend something like this before the log text:
“Found ‘Lucky Duckie (GC12345)’. Here’s my log:”

In the past it was simply I found [NAME] ([URL]).

I think simple is good.

I found the Geocache ... at ... with c:geo.

The Cachename can be a link to the cache, c:geo can be a link to c:geo

Thank You for Your great work!

Special Idea: In Options a point for automatic posting?

You can also check the previous implementation for Twitter, which got removed in #14470.
