I've just noticed the same problem. https://kb.daisy.org/publishing/docs/metadata/schema.org/accessibilitySummary.html states that "If the summary does not offer any new information, the property can be omitted from digital publications." |
A relevant statement is here: "accessibilitySummary metadata is now recommended (SHOULD), not required (MUST). The impact/severity is downgraded from serious to moderate." Cf. also ace/website/content/rules/epub.md Line 9 in d56a8e1
|
AccessModeSufficient and AccessibilitySummary are added. These metadata are optional according to the EPUB Accessibility 1.1 standard, but ACE Daisy checker flags ebooks for missing them (cf daisy/ace#389 and daisy/ace#400). With this commit: AccessModeSufficient is defaulted to "textual". AccessibilitySummary can be included via the metadata block.
This was fixed some time ago, will shortly be released in an official distribution of Ace (has been available for testing for some time now) |
Please provide the following details if possible or relevant:
Ace currently flags EPUB publications for missing the 'schema:accessibilitySummary' metadata, while the EPUB Accessibility 1.1 standard indicates that this metadata is no longer mandatory (unlike EPUB Accessibility 1.0).
