emacs最初の起動時に自動的にいろいろインストールされます。
python の保存時自動テストは、プロジェクトのディレクトリ構成に依存しています。 以下のように、モジュール本体のパスに test/ プレフィクスをつけたパスが対応するテストモジュールになるディレクトリ構成を想定しています。
moge/fuga/hogehoge.py # モジュール本体
test/moge/fuga/hogehote.py # 上記のモジュールのテスト
また、 test/run.py が存在し、以下のコマンドでテストを実行できることを想定しています。
python -m test.run moge/fuga/hogehoge.py
