The goal of this project is to provide the knowledge necessary to make computers starting from nothing (other than this repository). This project aspires to serve as a foundation for future generations to restore and rebuild civilization to its former state should it ever collapse in the future.
This project has the following principles in mind:
- Simplicity: using only this repository, one should be able to learn the knowledge needed to reinvent all previous human technologies.
- Practicality: all technologies described will only be used to increase productivity or increase overall quality of life.
- Open Source: by open source, we mean that it satisifes the following principles:
- All files in this repository are stored in open data formats.
- All files in this repository are open-access.
- All files in this repository are editable.
This is the general path you will need to take if you want to advance humanity. Each step may also contain further sub-steps that need to be completed.
The following projects all have similar goals to this one.
- Awesome Survival: "A list of awesome survival/survivors books/guides"
- Open Source Ecology: Open source industrial machines that can be made for a fraction of commercial costs
- Survivor Library: "a compendium of the Technological and Industrial Knowledge of the 1800[s] through early 1900s"
