make sure node.js is installed from http://nodejs.org

install tessel command-line tools with
npm install tessel -
install PubNub library using
npm install pubnub -
make sure the Tessel device is connected via USB

ensure the device shows up via the command
tessel list -
ensure the device firmware is up-to-date using
tessel update -
give the device connectivity using
tessel wifi -n NETID -p NETPASS -s wpa2(or whatever wifi info is appropriate for your location) -
change to the examples directory using
cd examples -
try out the 'disconnected_blinky.js' example using
tessel run disconnected_blinky.js -
try out the "LED blink client" using
tessel run pubnub_blink_client.js tesseldemo -
send a message to the LED blink client using
node pubnub_blink_server.hs tesseldemo hello
