This information is insufficient to figure out how to reproduce the crash. Please provide information like

  1. Version number of the app you noticed this on.
  2. Platform is macOS - that is clear.
  3. We type in Kannada all the time and haven't noticed crashes, so it would be useful if you share a specific way of reproducing the crash.

At some point we want to try and use Google's MuRIL (https://www.firstpost.com/tech/news-analysis/google-unveils-muril-tech-to-boost-indian-regional-language-internet-ecosystem-9129891.html), until then we want to hold off on any other kind of custom input methods.

I am not sure you have read documents related to how to use the language features in Scrite. Regarding OS input methods integration, its already available.

Read this page: https://teriflix.github.io/scrite/advanced-editing.html

Its in complete, but should be enough to get you started.

Still unable to reproduce the crash. Please list out specific steps to reproduce the crash, or upload a video. Sorry, AnyDesk is not possible.

Yes, we think so too. However, on Windows the Kannada Phonetic Input Method works much better.

i seen that guide its helped lot thanks

👍🏻

haa but i hate windows for no reason soon i am shifting to linux waiting for davinci resolve stable for linux

I have used Kdenlive on Linux and found it to be quite good: https://kdenlive.org.

One of our stories on TERIFLIX was edited using Kdenlive: https://youtu.be/ixHh_rLrFRo

In the recent past I read about another video editor "Cinelerra CG Infinity" on Linux. Looks promising, but I have not used it. https://www.cinelerra-gg.org

The video is good. Will try to reproduce the crash using the video.

The other comments have been hidden, because it was getting difficult to trace the video.

No idea why its happening for you. We are not able to reproduce it. Havent heard it from others as well.

PS: When you post it all caps on public platforms like this, it conveys that you are shouting at the developers. As such this is a community project. We don't appreciate being shouted at.

We haven't tested the transliteration for every possible combination of Kannada words. Transliteration is enabled by a third party library. As such I am not sure if we can consider ^ to be a part of a word that needs to be transliterated.

You can pull down the alphabet mapping table from the toolbar. Transliterations from this table are possible using the built-in transliterator. Others are not.

Also, when I type pars^Dd, I consistently get ಪರ್ಸ್^ಡ್ದ್ . Its surprising that you are seeing a different result.
