Kings' Keon Ellis: Starting sans LaVine
Ellis is part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers, Frankie Cartoscelli of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140 reports.
The defensive-minded swingman will get a chance in the first unit due to the absence of Zach LaVine, who's out for personal reasons. Through his last 10 starting appearances, Ellis has averaged 11.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.6 steals and 1.0 blocks in 33.5 minutes.

Ellis totaled 18 points (7-12 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four assists and one steal over 28 minutes during Thursday's 130-104 loss to Golden State.
Ellis delivered his highest scoring outing since Feb. 13, marking his fifth game with at least 18 points through 63 regular-season appearances. Ellis was efficient from the field Thursday and has shot 47.8 percent from the floor across his last five outings (three starts). Ellis had eight points (3-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt), two assists and one steal in 31 minutes during Sunday's 111-110 overtime loss to the Clippers.
Malik Monk (toe) missed his third game in a row for the Kings, but Ellis wasn't able to capitalize on the extra usage. He's still been an excellent contributor in nine-category leagues over the past 10 games, producing sixth-round value with averages of 9.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.7 steals, 1.2 blocks and 1.8 three-pointers.

Kings' Keon Ellis: Starting sans Monk
Ellis is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
Due to the absence of Malik Monk (toe) on Wednesday, Ellis will move into the starting lineup and have a chance to provide enhanced fantasy value. Across 11 games in Sacramento's first unit this year, Ellis has averaged 10.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.3 steals, 2.1 assists, 0.8 blocks and 2.2 three-pointers in 30.4 minutes while shooting 45.3 percent from deep.

Kings' Keon Ellis: Strong defensive showing in Utah
Ellis provided 11 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 3Pt), one rebound, two assists, three blocks and two steals in 33 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 118-101 win over the Jazz.
The third-year guard left Monday's win over Charlotte after only nine minutes of court time due to an ankle issue, but Ellis didn't end up missing a game and seemed 100 percent healthy as he made a big impact at the defensive end of the court. It's the second time in February that Ellis has recorded multiple steals and blocks in the same contest, and through 11 games on the month he's averaged 9.9 points, 3.0 boards, 2.2 threes, 1.4 steals, 1.2 assists and 1.0 blocks in 26.2 minutes.

Kings' Keon Ellis: Iffy for Wednesday
Ellis (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Utah, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports.
Ellis sustained a minor right ankle sprain during the second quarter of Monday's win over the Hornets and did not return. However, the 25-year-old was seen putting shots up after Tuesday's practice, which bodes well for his potential return in the near future, per Brenden Nunes of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140. If Ellis remains on the shelf Wednesday, Markelle Fultz and Devin Carter are candidates for an uptick in playing time.

Kings' Keon Ellis: Won't return Monday
Ellis won't return to Monday's game against the Hornets due to a right ankle injury.
Ellis appeared to roll his ankle after landing on an opposing player's foot during the second quarter. He notched six points (2-2 FG, 2-2 3Pt) across nine minutes before exiting to the locker room. The 25-year-old reportedly planned to return during the second half, though he experienced an increase in soreness while putting shots up during the halftime break, per Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee. Ellis will look to move past the ankle injury ahead of the Kings' next game Wednesday versus the Jazz.

Ellis appeared to roll his right ankle after coming down on an opposing player's foot. The 25-year-old initially indicated that he wanted to stay in the game, though he eventually asked to be subbed out, per Anderson. Markelle Fultz could see an uptick in playing time the rest of the way if Ellis is unable to return.

Kings' Keon Ellis: Drops team-high 27 points
Ellis racked up 27 points (10-14 FG, 7-11 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 119-111 win over the Pelicans.
Ellis continued his strong play of late, this time on the offensive end. He ended by scoring at least 20 points for just the second time all season while adding his usual dose of defensive stats. He has now played at least 29 minutes in three straight games, with the coaching staff finding ways to get him on the court a bit more. With that said, his strengths lie on the defensive end of the court, meaning an offensive showing like this shouldn't be something to expect on a nightly basis.

Kings' Keon Ellis: Plays 32 minutes
Ellis ended with eight points (3-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist and one block across 32 minutes during Monday's 129-128 overtime win over the Mavericks.
Despite coming off the bench, Ellis continues to provide low-end fantasy value on the back of his elite steal rate. In six February outings, Ellis holds averages of 9.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.8 blocks, 1.7 steals and 1.8 three-pointers in 28.5 minutes per game which equates to 10th-round value in nine-category formats.

Ellis is not part of the Kings' starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Magic, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.
Zach LaVine (personal/recently traded) is available to make his Kings debut, pushing Ellis to the second unit after he drew the spot start Monday. In 36 appearances off the bench this season, Ellis is averaging 6.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.2 steals across 19.1 minutes.

Kings' Keon Ellis: Strong defensive showing in start
Ellis notched 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-3 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists, two blocks and three steals in 34 minutes during Monday's 116-114 victory over Minnesota.
The Kings swapped out De'Aaron Fox for Zach LaVine in a blockbuster trade, but with LaVine not expected to make his Sacramento debut until Wednesday, Ellis got a spot start and made his usual big impact on the defensive end of the court. The third-year guard has recorded multiple steals in nine of 16 games (seven starts) since the beginning of January, averaging 9.9 points, 2.7 boards, 2.3 threes, 1.9 steals, 1.7 assists and 0.8 blocks in 25.7 minutes a contest over that stretch. Ellis' role isn't likely to increase in the new backcourt rotation, but he should still have value in deeper fantasy formats.

Kings' Keon Ellis: Starting Monday vs. T-Wolves
Ellis is in the Kings' starting lineup against the Timberwolves on Monday, Brenden Nunes of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140 reports.
Ellis will take the spot in the Kings' starting five vacated by De'Aaron Fox, who was traded to the Spurs on Monday in a three-team trade that also saw Zach LaVine being sent from Chicago to Sacramento. LaVine is expected to make his Kings debut Wednesday against the Magic, so Ellis will make his 11th start of the regular season Monday. Kings' Keon Ellis: Struggles from downtown
Ellis posted three points (1-8 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, one block and two steals over 22 minutes during Saturday's 144-110 loss to the Thunder.
Although Ellis couldn't find the mark from long distance Saturday, he was still able to chip in on the defensive end of the floor. The 25-year-old has come off Sacramento's bench in his last eight appearances, during which he's averaged 8.0 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.0 three-pointers in 19.9 minutes. If the team opts to move star floor general De'Aaron Fox ahead of the Feb. 6 trade deadline, however, Ellis could find himself making future starts for the Kings down the stretch of the season.

Kings' Keon Ellis: Logs 30 minutes in win
Ellis had 11 points (4-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt), one rebound, two assists, two blocks and three steals over 30 minutes during Monday's 110-96 victory over the Nets.
Ellis played at least 30 minutes for the first time in almost two weeks, helping the Kings to a much-needed victory. After a productive stretch earlier in the month, Ellis moved back to a bench role once the team was fully healthy. While this is a great performance, it should be noted that Keegan Murray was limited to just 24 minutes as a result of foul trouble, affording a few extra minutes for Ellis.
