Paramount Home Media Distribution has provided final details for its upcoming 4K Blu-ray release of Peter Segal's comedy Tommy Boy (1995), starring Chris Farley, David Spade, Brian Dennehy, Bo Derek, and Dan Aykroyd. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on March 25.
Description: Celebrating 30 years of gut-busting laughs, Chris Farley and David Spade are two ne'er-do-well traveling salesmen who hit the road to save the Callahan family's auto parts business, resulting in one disastrously funny consequence after another. This larger-than-life comedy features Rob Lowe, Bo Derek, and Brian Dennehy.
TOMMY BOY stars "Saturday Night Live" alumni Chris Farley and David Spade in one of cinema's funniest on-screen pairings as two drastically different personalities on a hellish road trip to save a family business. Produced by Lorne Michaels and directed by Peter Segal (50 First Dates, Get Smart), TOMMY BOY scored with audiences when it debuted in 1995 and continues to attract new fans three decades later.

Assuming the Walmart Steelbook will have the same stuff?
Also, reminding everyone there is a Walmart Steelbook variant with the original artwork, and the artwork is not all weirded out like it is on the new non-Steelbook release.

This and the Kino Lorber of Black Sheep are on my radar.
I figure those two, along with Beverly Hills Ninja from Sony Pictures, will get me square for a Farley's Finest collection finally.

@neocore_ - I went for the Walmart Exclusive SteelBook because I prefer its artwork; it's simply the original theatrical poster and I like that. The others seem goofy and overdone.

"I can't do this anymore, man. My head's about to explode. My whole life sucks! I don't know what I'm doing, I don't know where I'm going. My dad just died, we just killed Bambi, I'm out here getting my ass kicked and every time I drive down the road I wanna jerk the wheel into a goddamn bridge abutment!"
"We'll be in touch." | |

Would be nice if the BD was remastered too, although I'm sure it isn't. I guess I should just be happy they included a BD at all.

@ Somebuddy: Amen. Almost Heroes is an underrated gem. I teach United States History, which includes Westward Expansion and the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Almost Heroes is a real gas! EVERY joke lands. It's definitely better than Black Sheep or Beverly Hills Ninja.

I need to learn to hold off on buying blu-rays, even steelbooks, because usually the 4k comes out a few months later

I will be picking this up on day one! I am still hoping that Zoolander will get a nice, shiny 4K release next year in honor of its’ 25th anniversary.
