Good morning Fellow Travellers on the Galactic Spiral Arm 🌌 I'm up late today as Grant is going out on an RSBP work party and got up for the parrots, and a lovely day he has for it too. Coffee has been poured so now I'm settling in with the Crew to wake myself up and listen to some Classic FM Calm. After the initial excitement of morning greetings, Ziggy is back under her preening arch grumbling away and Jadie is playing with her toys, but Toby has started randomly screeching again so my visit may be cut short. Eclectus screaming before one is even awake is no fun! 🫣
Remember I had that dream about my toilet being broken? Well yesterday it did actually break. So now I do need to get a plumber out. Maybe I should also set up Madame Caz's tent with a crystal ball while I'm at it 😂
More crochet today. Hoping to finish the Kids' Drawing Toy order.

Outcast - Collage
So, in relation to my post last Friday, and as I usually do, I'd post some test shots or trials in the making of the main shot. This time, though, I'm doing it a bit differently, by posting a collage of a sequence of shots. These 10 shots were shot successively for the duration of the burning of the matchsticks, until the flame was gone. These shots here were edited in terms of basic exposure adjustments and maybe white balance, but nothing else; compared to the original shot that I've posted last week, which was heavily edited to equalize the light levels as well as remove the burn marks (which was almost a disaster!) that you can see here on the left of the matchsticks. These burn marks in the foam were caused by the mini-torch or flame I've used to light the matchsticks all at once.

Good morning you lovely lot 💕 I was cleaning Jadie's cage earlier and saw a subtle movement under the tray and jumped with fright as I thought it was a mouse, only to find it was my own slippered foot that I had wiggled...if you're wondering how my day is going 😂 I had the briefest of cuddles with a very hungry Ziggy who was saying "Come! Come!" the moment I took her out of her cage. She did give me a very brief preen, but food was her main focus. She is now tucked up under her preening arch as full as a tick, grumbling away with contentment.
Fresh chop to make this morning and I need to get some chickpeas soaking so I can cook them over the weekend and make parrot hummus. Then I will be working on the most recent Kids' drawing crochet toy order and watching Ghosts again probably 😊

The title of the image is simply derived from the number of the dots or buttons here. Spent a considerable time rectifying the image and making sure all lines are straight, but generally speaking, it is off the center anyway and so the symmetry it not perfect. There were physical limitations here that hindered me from shooting exactly the center, and I was shooting handheld too!

Every morning when I make my coffee, I feel like a crazy scientist, my hair going in all directions as I grind my beans, pour over the water, and wait for the magic to happen. It feels like a ritual.
Good morning everyone 🌞 Grant got up for the parrots this morning so I had a longer lie and just Ninja-ed myself downstairs for coffee. There was a little noise while the kettle boiled, but it's all gone quiet again, so I am claiming it as a success. Much better than the indignant screeching from Madame Ziggy earlier when Grant was too slow with her meds mix 😊
I woke from a vivid dream in which I was trying to get a plumber out to fix a leaky toilet. The lady on the phone told me the plumber wanted to be called by the They pronoun so I said I'd better go and explain that to my old fogies so they didn't misname Them, but then I was running holding a sloppy kebab and it spilled all over the floor and I was really miffed as that was my work lunch Eh? 🤔
Right, "Work, Work", as the orcs in Warcraft used to say back when it was still a strategy game.
