Thanks for the PR @biozshock - confirmed that the links are being correctly tracked with a HTML Map being used in the email.
For anyone testing I used https://www.image-map.net/ to generate the map, and then uploaded the image to Mautic and changed the path. Gitpod seems to be having an issue with image paths so may need to be tested locally or use a remote image to check that the image is actually embedded, however from the code in the email this bug fix does seem to be working.

Yea, it works pretty well.
I checked with multiple image maps.
(When testing you can add remote image URL to gitpod, it works well)
I embedded an image as @RCheesley suggested.
The tracking worked as expected:
