This is probably my most favourite PC in the collection. Blood, sweat and tears went into building this from scratch. I've yet to compile a full specification list of all the components, but it's basically a 486 DX2 66MHz MSDOS/Win 3.11FWG.

This is great. A reddit user found a box of 3.5-inch floppy disks at a thrift store and brought it home mainly due to the nice letter from 1993 found inside the box -- a glimpse back at a simpler time.
"... I also sent along a neat little shareware game called Wolfenstein 3D. It's purely arcade, but can get the adrenaline going. To load that one, just type INSTALL (it's in a compressed format), then WOLF3D to run."

My friend wasn't happy with #Rythmbox for music, so I installed #Audacious.
He's under Linux Mint with #XFCE on an old Medion Laptop. But the things is the machine goes to login screen after a while during playing music (and stop playing music!!). How to fix that? Where?
I looked a little yesterday, haven't much time & I wasn't able to find where to fix the problem.

For a friend, I installed the latest version of Linux Debian (12.8) on a machine that is starting to be old: a Compaq 6005 with an AMD Athlon II. The machine is operational and appears to be fast even on the web. As it is 32-bit and Firefox will stop supporting 32-bit in January 2025. Chromium was a good alternative.
